The Adventures of Cooper

Loved The Adventures of Cooper! I have a 10 yr old basset hound that I love dearly. The illustrations and story were like looking back in time at her. Those are all the things she did and it looked just like her!!! Love reading this to my granddaughter. We have read it over and over. She always wants to see Cooper’s boo boo and says, “poor Cooper”! Can’t wait to receive the next two books that are coming in the mail today!!!

Susan and Mary Evelyn you are "spot on!". You have captured the essence of a Basset both in story text and illustrations. My Basset, Bailey, will hear this story after this review is written. Tomorrow, the children I tutor in reading will all read the book as they have been waiting so long for this to be published. I was presently surprised that the reading level, even with a little struggle, will be on target for many of my kids. They will be so excited!!!(I am a retired elem school media specialist and missed the kids so much tutor reading 3 days a week!) Thank you for writing the book. Will add this to my collection of Basset books and wait for more Adventures of Cooper!

My basset hound, Ellie, and Cooper are brother and sister. They came from the same litter. We've been anxiously awaiting this book while it was being produced and couldn't be happier. It's well written and easy to understand for little ones. And the pictures/ illustrations are the best! They look so much like Cooper! We enjoyed it so much we ordered three more for our church preschool. I know the kids are going to love it ♡Cant wait to see what adventures Coop gets into in the second book.

Just got the book yesterday and it is terrific! The writing is sounds like a fun-loving & funny mischievous puppy talking. The illustrations are awesome! I can't wait to give the book to my grandson for his 4th bday that's coming up in a couple if weeks. His big sister will be especially excited to see Mary Evelyn's drawing since she took an art class from her last fall. We'll be anxious to see the next adventure for Cooper.

This first episode in the adventures of a basset hound named Cooper is very entertaining and kept me smiling with each page I turned. I have a basset so I can easily relate to this mischievous hound. Cooper is an active and adorable pup whose character has been expertly captured and described in this story. The illustrations complement the story and enhance the reading experience. All pet lovers will enjoy reading about this adorable basset hound.

Omg! I love this book. Lol Cooper is a great little Basset Hound. I have been following him on his sight. He is so funny. This book was very well written. And the illustrations are too cute. This is a great book to get to read to kids and like me my Basset Hound. She loves it. It’s definitely a 5 star book, all the way around. I’m ordering another one for my , sisters grandkids.

The writing is beautiful & appropriate for any age child. Illustrations are finely detailed and more beautiful than I have ever seen before in a children's book. Any child would love to have this book to just keep looking at and reading. Little ones love puppies and all the trouble Cooper gets in is sure to make them laugh. Enjoy.

I own Basset hounds and this story represents a Basset hound exactly. From falling over his ears to counter-surfing. The illustrations are real enough to accurately represent a Basset hound's physical appearance but also cartoonish enough to capture children. I'm retirement age but I still enjoyed both the story and the illustrations.
