Oven Thermometer

I bought this oven thermometer to check the accuracy of my oven and it has worked well for basic cooking and baking needs. It is a bit smaller than I had hoped for but it is still easy to use. I had to bend the hook a little bit to get it to hang properly on the rack. Seems like a good quality and functions as it should. Appears accurate.

When I had two failed bakes and several "this is taking longer to cook than usual", I decided to check the internal temperature of my oven. I saw this for a reasonable price and it came pretty quick. It came in an entirely too fancy box for what it was, but I'm not complaining. Just seemed silly. Anyway, I put this in my oven and set it to 350. It is not instant but is very fast. After my oven said it was preheated, the thermometer said 300. After another 10 minutes it said 325. I changed my offset temp in the oven and set the temp to 400. It reached that much quicker, but I hadn't set the offset enough. Set again and tried it at 450. It read 450! I let the oven cool overnight and set it to 350 in the morning. After the oven said it was preheated, the thermometer read 300. I waited like 3 or 4 more minutes and it read 350. I'm very happy to have my oven back to working standards! I don't love it's sit/hang parts but that's due to its size mostly. Since I put it in the back (online it said to place the thermometer in the back left to get the most accurate reading, for anyone wondering) I had to sit it and not hang, but it just barely fit on my grates. The hang part probably should be bent slightly so it'll hang nicely. Straight from the box, I can't imagine it staying hung.

I like the accuracy of this thermometer because my oven wasn't accurate and my food wasn't cooking properly.

I purchased this because my food kept burning. After making all sorts of changes to the way I was baking muffins & desserts things just kept getting ruined. Google suggested maybe my oven was running hot, so I purchased an oven thermometer. And guess what? My oven runs hot. Anywhere from 25°-75° which is a lot. Its nice to check this little thermometer for reference, which most of the time seems accurate enough. The biggest downfall is the hook. It's too tight on one half, and too loose on the other half, so hanging it on the rack is difficult. If you touch it even the tiniest bit, or shut the door hard enough, it falls. I had my husband take a pair of pliers and bend it to fit the rack better which seemed to work well enough. I'm glad I made this purchase, and would recommend it.

Product came opened and definitely used as the cardboard paper and plastic in came in was covered in oil marks. So disappointed.

Es más pequeño de lo que esperaba , se empaña por el calor y no se ve la temperatura por consiguiente, se tiene que abrir el horno para ver que marca. Pedí el 3 así que me salio en precio-calidad no esperaba más por el precio

This thermometer worked good

A great idea to confirm the temperature in my oven. All ovens are different and it’s good to be accurate to ensure great baking results. This gadget can hang on an oven rack or stand on its own. It tips over easily and doesn’t have the best grip to hang it but I like the overall idea of this and am glad I bought it for myself and for gifts for my family.
