Came With A Lotta Stuff
I found better prices for the camera elsewhere, but this came with so much STUFF that it was a good deal. I have the same issue with this camera that I've had with other Kodaks--it takes fine, not great, photos, the zoom toggle tends to get stuck, so it zooms all the way in when you only need a little zoom. Also, it takes forever to start up, which has caused me to miss pictures. But it's fine, easy to use, and I don't regret buying it, even though I do hope to get a better camera one of these days. But it's fine.

A simple P&S camera with some DSLR tacked on to it
Comparing this to my 12 year-old Panasonic Lumix ZS3 this PIXPRO is replacing: The PIXPRO is an interesting cross between a P&S and a full DSLR camera, sharing features of both. On the P&S side, features are rather simplistic and limited (even more so than my ZS3). Same AF, photo effects and scene options as my ZS3 (funny how nothing's changed in 12 years). No way to customize sounds or turn off the LCD screen auto-dimming which I find annoying. Controls are pretty intuitive and easy to get use to. One feature I miss from my ZS3 is during preview of the pic you just took you can't scroll through past photos. While the screen on the PIXPRO is bigger than that of my ZS3 the font they use isn't as big so reading the display info on the PIXPRO is much more difficult for me.On the DSLR side, you have the standard P/S/A/M options and a wide range to work making it more versatile at low-light shooting than a typical P&S camera. A bit disappointed there's no D-lighting feature. As for the zoom (which I suppose everyone wants to know about), at 24mm there is a small amount of barrel distortion but not as much as one might expect. The image is clear even up to 400mm which is surprising! Up around 600mm the image gets pretty soft, and at maximum zoom the chromatic aberration and softness are very distracting, so you might want to go with the PIXPRO AZ252 instead since focal lengths beyond 400mm are pretty useless.All-in-all it's a typical P&S camera with some DSLR tacked on to it. It's a little chunky but it's also light.

Good
It's a good camera for beginners, however, it doesn't like to focus when you zoom. I was trying to get a picture of a beetle and it would not focus on the beetle. Great for photos including fog and landscape though.

Is ok
If you are looking for a nice camera with better quality than your cell phone but a dslr. This is ok but basically a glorified point and click. Sirens the extra $100 and get the better one. Good for someone without a smart phone, but quality of pictures was less than cell phone quality.

A gift
I bought this for my daughter as a gift for giving birth to my beautiful Granddaughter. She loves the item and has been taking pictures of the grand baby and sharing with the family. Thank you for bringing us this much joy into our lives.
