my sincerest thanks to everyone that was involved in getting this to me, especially you drivers, loaders and warehouse guys and gals. with that out of the way... Plano has some really great stuff for storage of items. you really can't go wrong with them and between Plano and MTM, they're all i ever use. PRO's: 1). well worth the money. you're not going to break the bank in buying them and should you find a Plano product being sold for an exorbitant price, contact them directly. 2). with a bit of fair upkeep, they'll last for years. i've got a Plano case that is nearly 20 years old. a few scratches, scuffs, and a couple of dings but a good wipe down with some Armor All and it's still looking good. 3). the foam lining is just rough enough and firm enough to keep everything in it's place without worry and it's easily replaceable. 4). extremely lightweight for it's size. does you no good to have a 30lbs case that you're not wanting to lug around just for it's weight and bulkiness. CON's: 1). this is not the case that you're going to go into the zombie apocalypse with. don't be stupid. 2). this is not going to fit all the tricked out, dicked out CoD inspired modification you might have installed. don't be stupid. 3). this is not for commercial travel even if you put a TSA approved lock set on it. the baggage handlers will have a field day with your stuff and while the case may arrive at your destination, the item(s) that were in it will be at somebody's baby mama's apartment. you'll know when they post their haul on their "gram" page. don't be stupid. 4). this is not waterproof, weatherproof or fireproof. Plano makes those types of cases but they are significantly more expensive. so don't be stupid. lastly... Amazon why does your review app want to know "what this item will be used for" and "what type of gun"? seriously. my information of items owned is the same as my medical information, none of anybody's business. don't have me get all HIPAA up in here.

We are satisfied with the case, yes it's flimsy and lightweight, but that's why we chose it. This case is, as we type this review, loaded with (2) rifles and plenty of ammunition for both and also (2) other rifles with room to spare. The .270x24" barrel and the 6.5x22" barrel have 50mm scopes mounted, and fit without any issue or Houdini type tricks. The foam (comes with upper and lower foam) forms in and around all that's packed in the case to prevent movement or contact with each other, and must say as well as those lofty priced cases that don't flex. If you exercise a bit of common sense when you pack it, pack the ammo along what will be the bottom of the case when closed, and it stands well when placed upright. No, we would not use this pack to have someone other than myself handle the property, such as baggage handlers. Yes, recommend this case to haul rifles and ammo safely and dry. Can not say it's waterproof, have no intention in subjecting to rains. This case will only be used to transport, then weatherproof gun bag will be used to haul out to the hunt spot. Thought this could help others on a decision for their needs.

This case is perfectly functional. It is not a case for air travel, it is good for putting in the truck to go hunting or to the range. Seems sturdy, latches work, has places for padlocks but that won't prevent someone getting in. It is plastic after all. I agree, that the foam was not secured to the case, however, this may be on purpose so that the end user can simply flip the foam if he or she chooses. It will work for me, if you are not traveling by air or require total waterproof, this is a good case, I would recommend.

These are definitely budget cases, however if you’re like me you’re not trying to spend $200+ dollars on a pelican case. I just needed something to get my longer rifles out of their cardboard box and into something I can store them in, and toss in the back of my truck to take them to the range. These fit the bill perfectly. I bought two, one for a 48” long Savage 110 Rifle and another for 38” long fully loaded Scar. Both have bipods and large optics and they fit great inside the case. If you’re concerned about the plastic patches not being strong enough you could always use put locks on them to keep them shut. Overall a great value considering how budget friendly they are.

The case is a good value as I was looking for a very basic case, not too heavy or something that would not catch the attention of others (however, there is a "Gun Guard" logo stamped on both sides though, ha ha that I'll have to live with). The plastic is extremely thin and one could easily cut through the plastic with a knife which is the only negative thing I can say about it (it's thinner than the $30 cases I purchased 25 years ago that I still have). There are three holes for padlocks; one at each end and one in the middle of the case which is an added deterrent. The foam is thin (1/2"-3/4") and I like that because I plan to put in a 1" thick foam insert cut to the shape of the item to keep it more secure and more padded as well. I flipped over the bottom eggshell foam and I plan to glue the new foam to this section. The case closes well with the third layer of foam I added due to the thinness of the top and bottom layer of foam that came with the case. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase; the case came in a discreet plain box which I like, there was no damage and the case functions as intended.

Decent enough. The tension is a little lacking. Things can slide around when closed. The latches dont close as well or are as firm as the other smaller models. Plastic latches that will eventually break. Good enough for the price. Better for wider items.

Definitivamente fue la mejor decisión que tome para guardar mi bajo de 5 cuerdas y 27 trastes. Con un gigante como este no había un estuche rígido en el cual cupiera cómodo y sin esforzarlo demasiado a que entre. Aquí está protegido y seguro! Tiene sus foam para protegerlo de ambos lados. (arriba y abajo. Además tiene en cada esquina dos huequitos para asegurarlo con candados en los viajes, que sean aprobados por TSA. Trae 4 cerraduras seguras para que no se abra.

This is a great case to take a couple of rifles and accessories to the range or go hunting with. This is made of thin plastic, but it’s acceptable for my needs. I would not use it to take rifles traveling long distances on any type of plane or bus. I think other cargo bouncing around would destroy this and its contents pretty quickly. Thankfully I don’t travel long distances and I only bring rifles to the range. Otherwise they stay in the case, locked in the closet. For my needs needs, that works and it will do a fine job. The padding is ok, two layers of foam.
