Elimination Chamber
This DVD contains the full 2020 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view spread over two discs. A long with the main card we get the match from the pre-show as a bonus features a long with three segments from preceding RAWs and Smackdowns. These are:-The nWo on A Moment of Bliss-The Intercontinental Championship contract signing-The Women's Elimination Chamber contract signingThe Viking Raiders vs. Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder - This match comes from the Elimination Chamber Kickoff show. It was a fairly short and simple tag match but it was an entertaining watch. The action went back and forth but the Raiders were the ones who got to look impressive here. It was good for the time it got and had a good, satisfying finish.Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak - This was the first match of the night and it was a very good one. It started of technical with lots of back and forth grappling but eventually evolved to involve strikes and bigger moves too. They were very evenly matched throughout the bout. It had a good story of Bryan getting more and more frustrated as it seemed Gulak had his number and the match wasn't as easy as he had expected. There were some good near-falls and dramatic submission attempts as they built up to a good, decisive finish. A strong start to the show.Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo - This next match was for the United States Championship. It wasn't a match I was particularly invested in but they did a good job and delivered an entertaining and competitive match. The action was fast paced throughout with plenty of reversals and some good near-falls. It lasted a decent amount of time and had a strong finish that gave us a decisive result while still leaving things open for a rematch if they wanted to do that. An enjoyable match.John Morrison and The Miz vs. The New Day vs. The Usos vs. Heavy Machinery vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler vs. Lucha House Party - This was the first of two Elimination Chamber matches of the evening and was for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. It was a very fun, entertaining match. The action was non-stop and constantly enjoyable. Every team got a chance to look good and all the eliminations were good. There was lots of great teamwork from everyone involved and it lasted a good amount of time. There were plenty of near-falls, last second break-ups and memorable moments. The final three was especially fun but the match as a whole was very good. As far as tag chambers go I'd say it's just below the one from 2019 but miles better than the one from 2015.AJ Styles vs. Aleister Black - This is a No Disqualification match and the O.C. were at ringside supporting AJ. Fortunately for the most part the O.C. stayed out of the action because they had a really good back and forth match. AJ targeted Black's leg throughout the match which lead to some good drama with the calf crusher and also affected him throughout the action. They brought in a few weapons but never over-did it. The finish did involve the Undertaker getting involved to set up Wrestlemania, we still got a decisive finish but I do wish they could have left the Undertaker stuff until after the match as the action was so good up until that point. It didn't ruin it or anything, it was still a great match, I just felt it could have been better if the Undertaker involvement took place after the match was over instead. The Street Profits vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy - This was for the RAW Tag Team Championships that the Profits won on the previous RAW. It was a good, back and forth match. I don't really like the Street Profits but they delivered here. The action had a good pace and lasted a good amount of time. There were some good reversals and near-falls and a decisive finish. There was a small amount of outside involvement but it didn't really hurt the action. The Viking Raiders got rid of the Authors of Pain before they could do too much damage and Kevin Owens didn't get physically involved, he was more of a distraction until the match was over when he got physical. Overall an entertaining match.Braun Strowman vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro and Sami Zayn - This was a three on one Handicap match for the Intercontinental Championship. Whoever got the pin would become champion. I wasn't really a fan of the concept. Title matches being handicaps don't always work. I found this one pretty fun though. Braun's strength and power made it realistic enough that he could put up a fight against the three, especially as they had to tag in and out, but the three used their teamwork and skill to keep it competitive and to make it look like anyone could win. A more enjoyable match than I expected.Shayna Baszler vs. Asuka vs. Liv Morgan vs. Ruby Riott vs. Natalya vs. Sarah Logan - This was the main event of the night and was an Elimination Chamber match to find out who would be facing Becky Lynch for the RAW Women's Championship at Wrestlemania. It was a very good match but not what you expect from an Elimination Chamber match. It was competitive early on until Shayna entered the action. For the most part this was Baszler's match, once she came in she just started dominating the action and eliminating everyone. Her brutality really stood out in this match, especially with her vicious attack on Natalya with a pod door. It resulted in her having to wait for five minutes for the next person to enter because she'd cleared the ring, similar to Brock Lesnar's performance at the Royal Rumble. It worked well though and built a lot of anticipation for the final two. The final two wasn't quite as good as I hoped but it was still good. Hopefully that means we'll get Shayna vs. Asuka in a proper main event match some time in the future. This was a very different kind of chamber but it did it's job and made a very good match.Elimination Chamber 2020 was a show that didn't feel very important going in. Partially because it came only a week after a lacklustre Saudi Arabia show and also because, outside the main event, nothing felt like that big of a deal. Thankfully though the show over-delivered with plenty of entertaining action. The two chamber matches both delivered. The tag one was a load of fun, chaotic action and the women's one felt very different but still gave us a really enjoyable end to the show. All the other matches were pretty good too. There wasn't a bad match on the card and they managed to make an unimportant feeling card into a lot of fun.

A Forgotten Good PPV
Elimination Chamber in any year tends to be a largely forgotten show somewhere on the road to Wrestlemania between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. So much so that I had totally forgotten watching anything on this show other than Shayna Baszler steamrolling the entire RAW Women’s division on her way to a showdown with Becky Lynch at WM. But it’s one very good PPV.As usual, the Elimination Chamber shows are anchored by the Chamber matches themselves: The multi-team tag title match and Shayna running through the RAW Women’s Roster. But the rest of the card has a little something for everyone including a technical match between Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak and an Alester Black-AJ Styles match that has lots of outside shenanigans. Even a rather unexciting Andrade-Humberto match wasn’t technically awful.A solid night and a forgotten show.
