Best bang for the buck anywhere, comes with accessories, highest customer satisfaction
I spent hours looking and comparing meters. This is the best bang for the buck on Amazon, eBay, or anywhere else for this type of meter. It also comes with accessories, and had the highest customer satisfaction.1. Make sure you read the Package area under Product Description because the pictures don't show the accessories. It comes with everything you need plus the pouch to keep it all together. I'm certain that not having a picture of the accessories is costing them sales. I almost didn't buy it for that reason, and it is common to sell similar meters without the accessories. Even after I noticed the items in the Package area under the Product Description, I felt I was taking a risk by not being able to see what they were actually like, and felt that they probably didn't show them because they were of such poor quality. Those fears turned out to be unfounded. When you receive it, you'll find the quality of the item and the accessories to be very good, and everything well thought out.2. The reason for every bad review thus far is due to misrepresentation of the meter's capabilities, not problems with the quality of the meter or accessories. The description has since been updated. Thus, while those ratings were deserved at the time they were written, the basis for the bad ratings no longer exists, so it won't be in your best interest to allow those reviews to factor into your evaluation. If you make that adjustment to the score, you also won't find a meter with a higher customer satisfaction rating.3. Make sure you read the product description thoughtfully and zoom in on the selector dial so you will be have an accurate picture of the meter's capabilities. Even after that, I was thinking it could do DC Amps so that I could use it for checking starter draw and alternator output, but it cannot measure DC Amps nor does the description indicate that it can. Remember that when you measure AC Amps, you cannot put the jaws around more than one conductor at a time because the conductors will cancel each other out. To measure amps, you must place the jaws around only one conductor.4. Pen meters, while they cannot measure amps, are handier all around because you don't need 3 hands to use them. You can free up a hand by using the amp clamp to attach it to something while using the leads.5. This is not a true RMS meter, but for most people that is of no concern. 120 volts AC is not actually 120 volts, it is an average of 120 volts, or 120 volts RMS (root mean squared). For normal sine wave from the power company, voltage peaks of approximately 170 volts are required to produce 120 volts RMS. The actual peak voltage required varies based on the sine wave shape. To measure RMS AC voltage accurately, requires a true-RMS meter, which calculates the RMS voltage by taking many measurements along the sine wave. You cannot buy a true RMS meter for $25. You would have to add at least another $100 to the price. Non-true-RMS meters estimate AC RMS voltage by measuring voltage and applying a correction factor based on the the standard sine wave shape. With electricity from the power company, it will be pretty accurate, and with AC house voltage, we seldom need to be precise. Normally, the only things we want to know are, is it approximately 120 volts, approximately 240 volts, or approximately zero volts. The electricity from the power company is well regulated, we cannot adjust it, and AC devices are designed to work with a lot more variation than they are likely to encounter from the power company. There are times when having a true RMS meter is important, such as when measuring voltage from a non-true-sine-wave inverter, or any solid-state circuits such fan controls, motor controls, solid state dimmer switches, etc. For constant DC circuits in vehicles, such as for the battery, battery charging voltage, and most sensors, RMS is not applicable, so a non-true-RMS meter is not at an accuracy disadvantage. The bottom line is, for around the house, a lot of utility can be had with an inexpensive non-true-RMS multimeter.

Great clamp meter - As long as you know what you're buying
I really like this meter. It is my go to multimeter for almost all electrical testing, even if I don't need the clamp to measure amperage. You need to understand that this is not a true RMS meter, like the VERY expensive Fluke meters. Do a little Google searching if you want to know the difference. That being said, this will perform most functions for people like me (a home owner, do it yourselfer, who likes to dabble in everything). I've used this meter for everything from measuring amperage at my main panel and generator transfer switch to check bus balancing, to seeing how much juice is left in some AAA batteries.Even if you don't need the clamp to measure amperage, you can use the clamp as a hanger to hang the meter from something else, leaving you with both hands to use the probes. It works great on AC and DC, volts, amps, and OHM's. I'm not an electrician, but this works great for my needs. No issues with it at all.I even like the case that it comes in. And the probes connect to the meter on a 90 degree angle, so you can keep them connected to the meter when you store it in the case, without worrying about bending and shorting out your probes.

Very nice medium duty tool
pretty nice for the price. I sell meters at my working have had experience with multiple brands. This one would hold its own in a medium use capacity. It's not a hard use item.

Used this to track down which lights in the house ...
Used this to track down which lights in the house kept popping the breakers. Just stuck it on the line coming out of the breaker blowing in the fuse box and turned off and on lights, the chandelier drew a lot more amps than I expected, this made troubleshooting a snap. Has a decent little case and does the trick.

I bought this in June of 2017 it died today 2/26/21
Well, it was a decent run. I'd hoped to get more out of it than 4 and half years. More frustrated it wasnt there when I needed it today. In the end the dial froze. It worked OK. Wasnt the most intuitive design but it worked. I got what I paid for ...

Very satisfied
Great value here. This is a very solid meter with all the basic functions (Volts, Amps, Reisistance/continuity, Diode). Nice carrying pouch. Very solid feel, controls feel on the economy side (as would be expected) but solid and seems reliable. It's certainly no Fluke but it's not $150 either. At this price you can afford to buy two and keep one on the shelf for backup or for the glove box. Would make a great economical gift for any home/occasional handyman.

The instructions were entirely in Chinese. Not one word of English!
could not use this amp meter because the instructions were totally 100% every single letter written in Chinese or a derivative. Could not read Chinese or any derivative thereof, so I had to return this unit because I did not know how to use it since there were absolutely no English instructions at all!
