Kotobuki Traditional Japanese Thread Scissors, Red and White Wrapped Handle

I knew a nice woman who was a seemstress. She swore by this type of scissors and gave me a set. After they went missing, while stationed in Japan, I went to the shoppe and grabbed my second set.This is my 3rd, I will always have a set of these "snips". They stay sharp forever; as long as they don't get wet, they need only a clean and oil, from time to time, sort of like a gun.

I love them ! I love them! They are sharp, easy to handle, not too big and not too tiny and super cute! So glad I got them. Will purchase the plain set too

I use them for sewing. Love everything about them.

These thread snips get the job done, I use it for all of my hand and machine sewing projects…I just wish the handle wrap was better. It's basically just thin-gauge paracord wrapped in spirals around the metal of the handle, with the ends tucked back into itself. Every few uses, the ends of the wrap come loose and I've gotta spend time trying to re-tuck them

Love these little thread snips. Perfect for my crochet bag. Only wish they came with a better quality sheathe. But the snips themselves are visually pleasing as well as work just as intended. I loved mine so much I purchased a pair for a dear friend as a gift.

Honestly I love Japanese tools but this pair of snips disappointed me. The cut is not as precise as the pair I bought for 570 yen in a knife store nor the Daiso pair I bought.

Super sharp, slice right through the tiniest bit of thread smoothly and effortlessly. The wrapped handle looks very smart and stylish. These look and feel very well made and are an excellent buy for the price. I plan on ordering another pair as a back up so I always have them handy.

The size it’s perfect plus the small details are everything, in love with my new Japanese scissors
