This book is exactly what I have been looking for in a crochet book. Clearly explained, beautiful stitch patterns, and full color pictures fill each page. My only complaint would be that the pattern is not written, they chose to use diagrams. However, for me, this was a godsend as I can now read a diagram.

Great book to learn new stitches!

Full disclosure, I've only flipped through it so far, but there's a large variety of stitch patterns with good pictures, as well as charts.Not sure if it's just my copy or all of them, but the Crochet Basics section and Index (pages 259 through 272) are incorrectly printed at an angle, cutting off information. These pages were also bound incorrectly at an even more drastic angle, cutting off even more info than if it had just been misprinted. I had to actually cut along the page edges to separate them and accidentally tore a page in the process! The Granny Squares section (pages 241 through 258) were printed lower on the page than the rest of the book - no info was cut off, but aestheticly it's annoying.All in all, seems like a good book that needs better quality control at the print shop. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the printer!

I purchased this crochet dictionary, one for my daughter in law and one for myself. I’m excited to use some of these patterns to create my own things and so is she!

Easy to understand

Pattern are easy to follow

I bought this book a while ago, when I realized that arthritis might some day make knitting unpleasant (or far too slow) and I doubt that I will ever use all of it. The first section,"Basic Stitch Patterns" (35 pages, 69 stitches, and the section on Crochet Basics (page 260) are probably all I will ever need. It's still nice, and interesting, to have all the other stitches too. By the way, "Crochet Basics" (page 261) has a section on "How to Read Crochet Charts". It does not look too hard, even for older seniors.There is also a full chapter on Granny Squares (good for practicing with leftover yarn).I am glad I bought that book; it is a 'keeper'.

Just the right size, side spring binding which is great when doing a projet and a lot of great patterns to learn. A keepsake I would say.

No es un libro para aprender crochet; es un libro de puntadas. Es muy claro de entender, todas las puntadas vienen explicadas con texto y con esquemas. La calidad de la impresión me sorpendió, no es papel couché brillante pero todas las fotos se ven bien y son muy claras. Las puntadas son modernas y para todo tipo de aplicaciones. Sí lo recomiendo, buen valor por lo que se paga.

O livro tem uma didática prática por divisão de cores, formas e níveis. O material é organizado facilitando encontrar os pontos variados. Tem pontos modernos, criativos q estimulama mente e também relaxante. Estou feliz.Agradeço a Amazon. Obrigada

It definitely has a lot of patterns. The patterns are clearly shown with the traditional pictorial ‚map‘ and also written advice. One or two patterns were absolutely unclear and hope this is not a theme in the book. I was also slightly disappointed there wasn’t the basic instructions of single crochet, treble etc at the beginning or end as sometimes I get a bit confused and need a refresher. Too many patterns that are English or American and it’s hard to remember who means what. It is a good pattern directory so it does its job.

Me gusta mucho este libro, esta todo en ingles, pero es muy esquemático, tiene muchos puntos muy bonitos y no hay problema en seguirlos pq estan muy bien explicados, cada punto tiene su esquema.Lo aconsejo al 100%.
