I absolutely LOVE the Petego Pet Tube Car Kennel. I ordered the one in large and the cushions that go along. Anyone that considers the price, believe me, it's WORTH every penny!!!! After traveling with my 4 dogs, I always felt that the big, boxed crates were hot for the dogs, and I never felt they were very safe. I used to have to put down the back seats to fit those big, boxed and hard crates into the car...and they were never very secure at all. The Petego Pet Tube Car Kennel is PERFECT. It's soft and secures to the seats making traveling safe with my babies...my pets, and I can easily see out the back window unlike when I'd have the big, boxed crates in there. The quality is nicer than anything I'd ever expect. It is a mesh netting with a strong canvas layer that can be easily wiped clean, and it is much more ventilated than those big, boxed crates. It fits PERFECT in the back seat of my Honda. My dogs don't get anxiety when I put them in it. They sit comfortably in these, and they can see me in the front seat. In the old boxed crates, my dogs would pant and whine. This product really is a dream come true for me and my pets!!! I would highly recommend it for anyone traveling and wanting to keep their pets safe, secure and comfortable. Finally, I can't wait to rid all those big, boxed crates that took up storage in my garage. The storage on this Petego Pet Tube Car Kennel is remarkable....folds up and yet when you unfold it to put it in the car, it props open without any sagging. I can't say enough good things about this product!!!

I was going to concoct something like this with a soft crate and a car seat cover but Amazon suggested this while I was looking at soft crates and it's exactly what I wanted, but never knew existed.This thing is amazing. I saw a lot of reviews talking about cats and smaller dogs, or just one dog so I want to chime in with multiple decent-sized dog information.I put my two medium sized dogs in here (65lbs and 50lbs) because they don't mind curling up in crates together or spaces that I think are way too small for two dogs but they seem to think are perfect. They can pretty much stand up completely and move around freely- they can poke their heads out the side to get to the window so they don't feel confined, but it keeps them secure on the back seat and it helps them feel more comfortable in the car. The construction is sturdy, but flexible. The mesh top provides breathability and I can see them fine- I know some people said the visibility through the mesh is poor- but you can see the dogs and what they are doing, and since you're driving, you really shouldn't be looking back there for finer details than that. I don't need to see the expressions in their eyes.I haven't had any super hard stops since installing it the other day, but I did have enough braking time where the dogs shifted and the crate stayed put and held them securely.For comfort, I just tossed some blankets in there, which suits my dogs fine, I think the curved, flexible structure makes them feel more secure than a flat cushion.One of my dogs gets very anxious in the car sometimes and having the ability to leave one end open provides the perfect amount of confinement and freedom. When he gets very anxious he can stick his head out, but doesn't feel the need to try and escape.I think this product is great for dogs who feel the need to try and break out of regular crates when they are confined because it's soft, so it doesn't provide anything to fight against since it moves with the dog.I hope it holds up to the test of time, but so far, it is 100% awesome.

I've been on a constant search to find crates to protect and calm my two medium sized dogs in my car (a border collie and a mix). I do not have an SUV, so regular wire or plastic crates just don't fit properly and while seatbelt harnesses are good, the dogs get a bit knotted up and it just doesn't relax them since they bark at all the lights and noises. The petego works great, is easy to attach and fits beautifully into the back seat of my car. I fortunately have not had to find out yet, but hopefully it does enough to restrain a dog in an accident. For my border collie she absolutely loves it and falls asleep within moments. It's a quiet ride for her. Now the downsides: Unless you want to keep it at full length (i use two separate large ones collapsed to their smaller lengths) the teeny little pieces of velcro they have to keep them small are totally useless. If a dog with any weight shifts at all, the tube almost instantly expands to its full size and becomes unruly. This can be fixed by getting long strips of velcro (at a drug store) and affixing it around the entire perimeter of the tube. I also tacked it with heavy duty thread at points and that seems to do the trick. They can also open the zips very easily - but little micro caribiners can stop that. The other issue is if your dog is anxious at all, it is VERY easy for a dog to rip right through this and get out - through both the mesh and the vinyl. So either you need to take additional precautions or use something else for an anxious dog. But overall, for the right dog or cat this is a really neat and convenient product.

I ordered this carrier last week and have mixed emotions on it. While I like the size and my dog is able to see out of it better than the last carrier, I don't like how it hooks up in my car. If I put the straps around it so that they fit snugly and it is more secure, the carrier does not rest on the seat, so I have temporarily hooked it up and it wiggles around too much. I am going to have to take some time and see if I can get it to stay on the seat better. If I can do that, I think I will like it more. The other thing is that my dog was able to open the zippered flap because I did not completely close it (she's smarter than I thought). This was not a problem with the other carrier because the zipper was smaller. Now that I know she is able to do this, I am careful to close the zipper.

Nach einigen Monaten nun im Gebrauch kann ich folgendes sagen: Das Petego Pettl Pet tube L hat mich bisher nur positiv begeistert. Da ich mir eine Limousine mit hellgrauen Sitzen zulegte musste etwas her worin die Hunde a - sicher sitzen also auch festzuschnallen sind und b- die Sauberkeit der hellen Polstermöbel erhalten bleibt !. Sicherheitshalber habe ich jedoch trotzdem eine gummierte wasserabweisende Hundeplane auf der Rückbank als erstes reingelegt und darauf das Pet Tube installiert was sich wie ich feststelle auf jedenfall empfiehlt - da in halber Höhe das Pettle mit Netzmaterial zum rausgucken und der Luftzufuhr gearbeitet ist und hier wohl nach ner Weile doch iregndwann etwas Sand auf die Rückbank des Fahrezuges rieseln kann( -durch ggfs schütteln oder herumgeturne.) Ich habe 1 Westie u 1 Pudel mittelgross drin sitzen und jeder macht es sich dort nach einsteigen gleich bequem. Ein bisschen kann das Dach an einer Seite einfallen-warum auch immer-ggfs weil es nicht ein Quergestänge hat was aber nicht schlimm ist auf dem Foto aber bereit zu sehen war- begrenzt aber nicht meine gute Bewertung da es für meine kleinen Hunde nicht schlimm ist. Vielleicht könnte man das durch festzurren am Deckenhaltegriff verhindern da man so die Spannung ggfa hdauerhaft einrichtet, habe ich jedoch nicht gemacht.Die Einlage zu kaufen macht Sinn um die Rundung zu nehmen u nicht auf den Bögen zu sitzen die dem Gestänge zuzuschreiben sind. Ich habe ein altes Hochlehner Gartenstuhlkissen genommen und eine Decke drauf was auch das Gestänge überdeckt.Super leicht lässt sich die Tube rausnehmen, den Dreck auskippen, mit feuchten Tuch leicht reinigen und mit 2 Handgriffen wie eine Ziehmonika zusammen fallen lassen, Reisverschluss zu und super zu transportieren. Alles was es Frau leicht macht. Gerne empfehle ich es weiter!
