This activated charcoal, I’ve learned, is most likely the best choice, for eliminating odors from a material, or a small space, compared to other source materials that get made in to activated charcoal, like bamboo or wood. This one is made from coconut shells. Although I didn’t actually receive the product, due to a delivery error, I did a lot of reading up and researching as to how to eliminate the smell from a product I was intent on using, and which one would be the best, out of the various activated charcoal products out there. This product was priced competitively, and it fit my budget suitably. Removing the odor from the material I was working with would have ended up being a fairly complicated beginner’s chemistry product, involving a vacuum flask filtering of the charcoal, since I wanted to remove the odor from a carrier oil. Not the easiest thing to do, but I ended up not getting to try it out, since the whole delivery was delivered to the wrong address.

Disclaimer: I’ve used several products and posted the same review on all of em. I’m so thankful I was blessed to finally take the plunge and try these products as my skin care—it hasn’t been since clear, glowy and plump since before I hit puberty. I (used to) suffer from cystic acne and really oily skin. It was so bad, not even birth control and age toned it down (31). I’ve used tetracycline and amoxicillin, while those did work, I just didn’t want to take pills for the rest of my life. Benzoyl peroxide is so harsh and I don’t like that it bleaches and completely dries me out. I love my skin tone and I just want to be cleared up. I haven’t worn makeup since the start of the pandemic. I’ve purchased Amla, neem, rose petal, aloe, activated charcoal, and Dead Sea mud from this brand. I’ve also been using honey, and bentonite and kaolin clays from another brand that already had. Alternating these powders as face masks for 15-20 minutes daily has completely cleared and changed my skin in just a month. I’m floored! All of these powders are authentic and so powerful, so I had to give these guys a great review. My entire routine is 1. Castile soap (Exfoliate with a eco tool brush once every week or two.) 2. Mask 3. Moisturize w/ Clinique jelly That’s it. No retinols, no acids, no scrubs. It’s so simple and amazing. Light your favorite candle and play some relaxing music, while you lay in bed. Or mix them and add them to your bath on a lazy day (the rose petals smell beautiful 💖). Take care of you while taking care of your skin. I couldn’t do that before this brand. Yes there’s premade masks out there, but what else in the mystery goop? These are pure simple ingredients that high end beauty products put such a small percentage of in their pricey products. This was my second time purchasing a charcoal powder. This is a really good charcoal powder comparitively, it's clean and fine ground. I was using it to detox from some mold exposure and help alleviate some digestive issues. It worked pretty well I think, I definitely felt a little bit of detox before feeling better. It has a clean taste, but warning to not mix this in a plastic container with your drink. If I put it in my water bottle it has a sulfur flavor, but mixed in a glass or ceramic cup it was flavorless. Strange, but same water, somehow it leeches something from the plastic I'm guessing, it happened in a plastic cup too. I particularly chose the coconut shell because of its ability to absorb better and I have issues with bamboo. I feel like this was a really great choice and would definitely purchase again when/if needed.

Bought this specifically for soap making and it works really well. The powder is super fine so it mixes smoothly without leaving gritty specks and it gives the bars a deep, rich black color. A little goes a long way which makes the bag last much longer than expected. It blends easily into melt and pour bases and cold process recipes and doesn’t clump or thicken the batter too fast. Clean packaging, good texture, and consistent results. Perfect for anyone adding charcoal to their DIY soaps or scrubs.

Warning: Do not use on teeth - it will wear down your enamel. A lesser warning, I bought this to use on my oily, itchy scalp. While it did fine to that end, it also temporarily darkened my light colored hair. My almost white hair became a light grey which looked fine but I'll be glad when it washes out. I'm going to use the rest of the bag when watering my roses.

This is GREAT for teeth! Be very careful when brushing so you don't get it on clothes. However, very easy to wash out. ALSO- be careful not to swallow- remember charcoal is used for regurgitation.

Hated it. So much! I opened the package a week and used it for my morning water with a bit of maple syrup and literally smells like eggs. I used it again this morning without the maple syrup (i thought that was the reason) and it smells again like eggs. Really bad!
