These are proper black lights that do make white/neon/glow in the dark things actually glow. We used these camping in the summer and had moths all over the outside of the tent. I've also used them in the winter, outside, where they got snowed and rained on, and they still worked. They only illuminate a small space like a tent or a small room so you'll want extra if you're trying to have like a black light party, and use high quality fresh(ly charged) batteries. They dim with the life of the batteries for sure. I never cared for the various blinking options, and only used them on constant, but they lasted a 4 day camping trip and still had a little juice left. I do like the options to either plug in or use batteries, but NEVER PLUG IN WITH BATTERIES IN THEM - I've done this with a similar model and it fries the batteries and makes an acid mess, so ALWAYS REMOVE BATTERIES BEFORE PLUGGING IN!!!

These are great bc I love the remote control option however, they have to STAY plugged in.....USB ....in order to use. They are NOT chargeable. They ARE BADASS AND exactly as advertised,, but I shouldve ordered solar for what I need them for.

If you want to light up a cabinet of uranium glass these lights will not do the job. THey are too dim. I love that they are flexible, but flexibility does not equal brightness. Update: I had to increase my rating of this item as I discovered that the lights do provide a subtle nighttime glow to my uranium glass cabinet. The glow is quite soft and might be precisely what you're looking for. I need more light however and will be upgrading.

I bought these lights to decorate my Christmas tree. I'm into uranium glass and these uv lights worked very well glowing up my tree. Very easy to hang and depending on how many lights you want, I have three sets on my 6 ft tree and they look just right. You don't have to use battery. There is a power cord for usb, you do need the usb box. The length of the lights were easy to work with. Light weight and really flexible wire to weave in and out, very durabile. Great purchase and great value. Totally recommend this product

Not that bight as the pictures lead you to believe. They are very dim and yes i even checked the remote to make sure it was set to brightest setting. Was a black light uv capable light but it just wasnt bright enough for me.

I was so disappointed, purchased these to light up a display cabinet. It is not located near an electrical outlet. It worked while plugged into the outlet, the battery unit did not work. I will return it.

There are a number of features that I can really appreciate about these; first that they are true blacklight UV wavelength and not just purple LEDs, and secondly, there are several ways to power them up! Currently I have them on a phone charger powerbank which saves a lot of money on AA batteries. I also love the remote control with a timer and the various lighting modes. I would buy this again.

I installed these inside a frame for a glow in the dark piece of artwork. The metal wire worked well because I could bend it to shape and keep it there without it moving. I don't particularly care for the different settings that are available, but the remote is nice to turn it on from a distance. And because they are black lights they aren't super bright and give a pleasant glow. Very good for projects in my opinion.

These light are light bleu. Far from being black light like advertised. Did return them

It was easy to enstall

Wanted to return but lost my return window

I was very disappointed in them, cheap set that were not very bright and certainly did not do what i bought them for which was to light up my uranium glass. Did absolutely nothing for that purpose. IMO these are dollar store quality. Packaging had me encouraged they would be great but not so much.
