Jot Pro is the most precise basic stylus around for writing and drawing on touchscreens. The Precision Disc writes exactly where you place it with ballpoint accuracy - and a smooth feel, thanks to a cushion tip. The solid, aluminum and steel stylus is built for sleek simplicity, including a carrying clip. Whether you're working with an iPad, iPhone, Android, or Windows device, Jot Pro is always ready to go. No connection or batteries needed, just touch stylus to screen.

I have been searching for a good, reasonably priced stylus for the longest time before ...
I have been searching for a good, reasonably priced stylus for the longest time before I decided to choose Adonit Jot Pro. I've tried several squishy, fat nib styluses only to find them utterly useless and resorted to using my finger for a whole year. I stumbled across the Adonit Jot Pro and decided to give it a shot it on my iPad with the Notability app. I use it for my class notes, which includes writing, drawing graphs and highlighting (see picture). It reads my handwriting very well without all the fuss of bluetooth, battery life and other fancy features. No issues with the fact that I am left-handed either, although it could be the fact that I've had a lot of practice using my finger. The stylus comes with a pretty neat holder to prevent it from rolling off the table. However, there is a slight tapping sound as you lift and lower the stylus but in all honesty it is softer than a clock ticking. It does make a slight scratch on my protective cover on my iPad but it is a far cry from the hand cramps and awful handwriting from before.I have used this for 4 months now and have had no issues with the disks. Would definitely recommend this stylus to anyone who is looking for a straightforward, fuss-free tool to use with their tablets.

An excellent option for First Time Users!!
I have taken a long time to review this product. This is my first experience using a stylus and digital note-taking. I am not an artistic person, so I use my stylus for writing purposes only. I do a lot of writing..anywhere from penning down my thoughts, making notes to problem solving; my pen or my pencil and now my jot is always by my side.I made the transition from pen and paper to digital note taking. The change has not been without its own set of issues. You need to get used to it. To begin with, you miss that feel of writing with a pen or pencil on a paper. Although you eventually get used to digital note taking and the overall experience is not too bad, it still lacks that feel to some extent.Second, writing on a glass surface of an iPad or tablet is an another challenge. The friction we get on paper is not there. One has to readjust the grip and pressure while using a stylus. After a while, it becomes your secondary nature.Third, the experience of digital note taking is also influenced by the note taking app you use. The first app I tried was Penultimate. My own experience with the app was not very exciting. A lot of features of this app are not available in the basic version. You either need to subscribe to a paid version or you need to have a higher version of stylus like Adonit Jot Script. I then tried My script My Notes. Its a good app. Limited in its features compared to its competitors, its still a good app. I use it for my casual writing or rough work. For my serious note taking and synchronisation, I use Notability which I recommend. As you get used to the apps and the Jot, the overall experience of digital note taking becomes better and better. As far as Adonit Jot Pro is concerned, its an excellent option for anyone wishing to go the digital way.Good points:1) Limited edition Copper colour is a lovely colour.2) Well balanced stylus. Feels comfortable in hand.3) It has Anti- Slip markings on it.4) The protective cap can be screwed and placed on both ends. While it protects the writing tip when not using the stylus, it can be capped on the other end when using the stylus. Thus it maintains the overall length and weight of the Pro making it a comfortable stylus to use. Also there is no fear of losing the cap.5) It has pocket clip, so it can be easily put in a pocket like a pen.6) The transparent writing disc gives you a clear view of where you are placing the stylus tip, so you are rarely off the line.Bad points:1) The transparent writing disc, which is the highlight of Jot Pro, is also its negative point. It can be easily lost if you are not careful. I already lost one within a month or two of use. Luckily I had ordered the spare tips while ordering for Jot Pro( more of an instinctive purchase rather than a thoughtful purchase but I am glad I bought the spare tips). I recommend anyone buying those tips at the same time when you buy Jot Pro.

Great for writing and light sketching
I feel like this stylus writes better than the old style Adonit Jot Pro that was magnetized, but I do actually miss the magnetization. I wish you had the option for both clip and magnet.Depending on your iPad case the clip part won't necessary work for you, whereas if you had any smart case, the magnetized pen would stick.I'm not sure if the smoother writing experience is due to an upgrade on Adonit's end or because I'm now on a new iPad with updated iOS, but there are fewer skips for sure.If you're looking for a stylus for writing and some sketching, this is a great bet. If you're looking primarily for sketching, I think there are more specialized styluses that would be a better fit.

Real nice for Photoshop Fix
Significantly better than the model that it replaced (and I was happy with the older model)They've not only redesigned the tip (adding springiness) they've also redesigned the "conductive transparent disk" and all in a smaller more precise package.I'm using it on an iPad Pro and it's like editing with the tip of a razorblade. Leaving "maximum" viewing area around the tip that nothing else on the market offers.

The best performing stylus, with a few caveats
It's the most accurate stylus on the market, but for the price I'd expect some things to be better. Package came folded and banged up, as if the item had been sitting somewhere for a long time. The stylus ball tip come off way too easily (is that supposed to happen??), it slides right off the pen with a gentle pull. I knew that lots of people end up loosing the plastic disc sooner or later, but I don't get why the metal ball tip has to come off that easily. Including some free replacements in the box would be nice given that this is a 30$ stylus. Also the plastic disc has some residual air bubbles (from plastic injection?) around the metal ball which affect its transparency.I am not looking forward to buy replacement parts, but the stylus itself performs great.

Flawless
Pencil handles really well but if your screen isn’t flawless you’ll run into some catches. But the stylus is the smoothest most accurate thing I’ve ever seen.

Tips fall off very easily!
I enjoy using this, however, the tip keeps falling off! The trip falls off at least four or five times a day and unless you're aware of when it happens, you'll never find it! I bought two and am returning both plus the pack of extra tips that I bought.

Great for writing notes
Works really well with the Goodnotes app on an ipad. I use it for writing notes in class. It isn't too loud tapping against the glass. I did buy extra tips for it, but i have not used them yet. There is a slight crack in the one I'm using now but it still works, you just have to be careful with it.

Excellent for writing on ipad
This stylus has been every bit as good as I hoped. I use it for writing on my ipad, such as when annotating reports etc.

Simply excellent!
This is my third Adonit pen; over the years I have upgraded from the original Jot to the first generation Jot pro and now to this one. All of these styluses have been excellent -- clearly above the quality of the average rubber dome pointers -- and with each new one, it was clear that Adonit is constantly improving their design. This pen is very comfortable to use and works extremely well with all kinds of touch screens, even with devices that average rubber dome pointers struggle on. Barring any accident, it should last a very long time -- my original Jot from 2010 still rocks the original disc.
