They are a good buy and work great to prefilter my well water. Takes out most of the sediment so my secondary filters last longer.

Filter large particulate in home water filter.
These fit the Filtrete whole house system along with others, I'm sure. I use these for large particulate in the first stage of my home water filter. Second stage is a 5 micron element. I was using 5 micron in both housings but noticed a pressure drop after running for only a few days. These pleated filters take care of the larger stuff before they hit the 5 micron and I don't have the pressure drop until a month later. We have very heavy limestone content in our water.
