Very good pack for the money
This is a nice inexpensive hydration backpack. My previous pack was a Camelbak and compared to that this is less convenient to fill. The water bag attaches with three Velcro straps which are attached so that instead of pressing them together or wrapping them around the top you must use a half twist so that the faces that stick to each other meet. Seems like either a design flaw or assembly error. Not a big deal. The major improvement over the Camelback is the drinking tube. On the Camelbak "the bite and drink end" fell off and disappeared twice within two weeks. Once it falls off, water leaks out as soon as you bend over. The drink tube end on the Mubasel has an attached cover and a "pull to use" fitting. Much more secure. The water bladder sits inside a reflective foil case which does keep the water a little cooler a little longer. The interior pockets are big enough to hold a fleece pullover and some smaller stuff and the side hip pockets have additional room if needed or can be folded out of the way. Pretty happy with this pack so far which I have used for hiking, biking and kayaking. Very good value for the price.

Nice quality. Perfect for a 3-night music festival &/or 8+hr round trip hike to "heaven" & back!
Fast delivery. Wears comfortable, functioned perfectly, easy refill, water tasted fine to me, easy to clean, ample storage areas. Considering ordering another to dedicate 1 for music festivals & 1 for hiking. Excellent value for the affordable price I paid. Also appreciate the reflective areas & 2 small zippered side pockets on waist belt (which i comfortably tuck under the pack when not in use).

Great insulated hydration backpack!
Bought these for my kids (11 & 13) so they could stay hydrated on our vacation hikes. I appreciated that these were insulated (most that we looked at were not) & they can fit 2L of water in them. We previously had water bottles and slings but those get in your way when climbing on rocks and through caves, etc. We really appreciate the caps on the end of the mouthpiece. When hiking through Utah, it gets really dusty and we saw others with hydration backpacks who had to have a friend wash off their mouthpiece prior to drinking. It also gave my kids adequate space for their Junior Ranger packets, pencil, phone, sunglasses and chapstick. My only complaint is that we use the water bottle refillers to fill them up and you have to hold them at a bit of an angle since the opening is a screw-on large cap on the side & you have to use your hand to "activate" the water filler. We saw another person filling their bag from the top & it was much easier. Of course, my 11 &13 YO can fill them... so probably most anyone can do so too. ;) We put ice in them each morning so their water was nice and cool most of the day.

Nice pack - with some oddities
First of all - this is a nice, compact little pack. I recently started increasing my mileage while hiking/running and wanted something to have with me. I've used it on half a dozen short runs/hikes (under 15 miles each) and one long excursion for over 15 miles at Red Rocks.First off - the straps...? I'm 5'9", around 145 lbs with a pretty small torso. It took tons of adjusting and tightening to try to get the pack settled right. I had a decent amount of shifting/rocking when the bladder was full and had to stop quite a bit to get the adjustment correct. After the adjustment was finally correct, I was left with TONS of straps just hanging. I'm hesitant to cut them down, but I've had to tuck/hide/zip/wrap up the straps as much as possible to have them not hitting me during the run.2nd - SWEAT. Because it's so snug on your frame to avoid movement, be advised you'll be sweaty...and then literally sweat THROUGH the bag. On the first run with the pack, I did a moderately paced 5-6 miles and I completely soaked through the straps on my back/shoulders. The back of the pack (against my back) was disgusting. I'm not a heavy sweater by any means, so just an FYI if this is a concern for you.3rd - INSULATION. I don't know if I maybe have a bum pack where the insulation material isn't working correctly, but there's no way the liquid in the bladder stays cool...like, at all. First couple of uses I didn't notice it because it was well water from a state park and wasn't too cool when I put it in the bladder. At Red Rocks, however, I had literally ICE COLD water that I put in the bladder, mixed with some slushy Gatorade. It was just about 80-82 and with rising sun (from about 10am-noon), the liquid was barely "cool" within 45 minutes. My guess is this is a direct result of the pack creating so much trapped heat between your body and the pack itself (#2 - sweat factor), that it is transferring heat into the pack/bladder.4th - WATERPROOF? I highly doubt this. I haven't had the pack in a downpour yet, but due to the sweat pushing through the material so quickly, I'm hard-pressed to believe the pack is waterproof. I had it in a light rain on the trail yesterday and the material absolutely got wet and held the water - it didn't pill off like I assume "waterproof" to be. I wouldn't chance having anything valuable that can't get wet in the pack.5th - RIGIDITY. When I took the pack to Red Rocks, I had it in my carry-on backpack. It was a really spacious Vera Bradley backpack, but even with the bladder and tubing removed, the pack didn't roll/compact down very much. All I could fit in the main compartment of the backpack was the Mubasel pack and my Brooks. I don't know if this is a benefit to the pack itself during use - just once again an aspect of the design. All in all, after some pretty good use straight out of the box (literally first use on the day I received it), I am happy with the pack and will buy again.

Great small pack!
Love this backpack so far! I got it because I always forget to drink enough water and hate carrying around a water bottle. I also wanted a little more space to store snacks and supplies than the other camelback I have. It is still small and lightweight. I often forget I'm wearing it. It worked wonderful last weekend riding the trail. I also have used it camping, around town, and hiking. Love the color and the fit! I've gotten a lot of compliments and people wanting to know where I got it. Sad story though...:( I accidentally shut the truck door on the mouth piece and it snapped off, so make sure you don't make the same mistake!!!

Just big enough for what my girls need!
I bought two of these for my daughters. My 50lbs, 9 year old is quite petite & the 11 year old is an average at 75lbs. They both enjoyed the packs very much. My eldest knocked off a star, "...because there are no straps to hold my trecking poles." My younger daughter thought that the pack was heavy when full of water. In her defence, I was not able to tighten the hip belt enough to carry the weight, thus her shoulders burdened the entire load. I also give them 4 stars. The stitching on the insulation over the drinking tube unraveled within 30 min of first use on one of them. They are just big enough to carry a few small items once the water bladders are full. Honestly, if the packs were bigger, my girls would bring more than they need. All considered, everyone is happy.
