Good but wish they were better.
Seriously good socks but ultimately flawed in design and execution. The "padded" areas do not extend down the shins far enough to provide padding to prevent scraped shins if you deadlift using the Starting Strength model. I won't buy again until this design flaw is corrected. Sorry.

Thought There Would Be More Protection
Doing reset conventional deadlifts with these socks (narrow foot position, toes pointed slightly out, bar 1 inch away from shins, bend over and grip the bar with narrow grip w/no elbow bending, fingers gripping the bar over, down by the knees until bar just touches shins w/o moving the bar, chest up/abs out, neck neutral and eyes pointed straight ahead, hold breath/Valsalva while pushing through knees and finishing with pushing hips forward after bar reaches kneecaps, then returning the bar to floor by hinging and then going down by the legs) has still yielded some shin bruising. Not sure if they did provide some protection, but if they did, it was very minor. I've attached an image of one of my shins after using the socks and doing some reset conventional deadlifts.

Great protection
Not sure about the reviews that say these socks don't offer enough padding for deadlifts. They offer plenty of padding. My only complaint is that one sock ripped my third time putting them on. It did not rip from deadlifts but literally ripped almost completely off as I was pulling them up my leg before my training session. Would buy again, just be careful while putting them on I suppose.

Ninja Deadlift Socks
Ordered these for my partner. He can get them on comfortably which was important for him as he didnt want to spend ten minutes putting on leg sleeves at five thirty in the morning. Light padding to the red sections of the socks. These look good for beginners as they wouldn't protect against heavier weights. These do look like somewhat normal socks on so if you're at all insecure about being paid out by your friends these are quite low key.

Just regular socks
Can confirm what many others have said. There is no additional padding of any kind on these socks. And like others have said when I pulled them on for my third or fourth wearing I heard them start to rip. They're over the knee athletic socks with an interesting aesthetic but they provide no value specific to powerlifting. Not worth the $18 or so you'll spend. Just buy a 12pk of Hanes.

great fit with soft feeing
These deadlift socks fit great where top end of socks are just under my knees. Also, the material has a good feel.

Large, Comfy, and Soft
These socks are extremely soft and comfy and they'll stretch easily all the way up to your knees. Super thick (not like a soccer sock) and padded to protect your shins during deadlifts. I even use the elliptical in these they are so comfy. That said I have size 14 feet and they fit great, so if you have smaller feet you may need to fold them over.

Will roll down from the top.
If you have pencil legs they might work. After a few uses they start to roll down on their own. I am 5 10 and 220lbs and they are rarely stay up during my dead lefts. I will not be buying again. I think ive only had them for abot 1.5 months.
