A must-have for those wanting to excel their school psychology practice
As a Graduate Student in School Psychology, who is incredibly active in the school system for field placements, a graduate clinician responsibilities, and researcher, this text was a very helpful. It is packed with applicable information, as well as author sections that help you connect with the authors experience, and understand their genuine knowledge in the psychology field. It clearly walks through the implications for the DSM-5 in the schools without letting you get lost in a sea of information. A perfect text for the seasoned professional or budding professional.

Excellent Resource
This is a much needed text for those of us who work in the schools or train school psychologists. The DSM5 is simpler to use than previous with qualifiers that make more sense in the context of schools. The comparisons of DSM and IDEA are particularly helpful in negotiating communication between school staff and community/medical settings. This is a complex, dry topic but the text is user-friendly and will serve as a resource for practicing school psychologists and other school mental health professionals.
