Guide Gear Climbing Ladder for Tree Stands, Climbing Equipment for Deer Hunting, 20’

I bought this Guide Gear climbing ladder, and it turned out to be an excellent purchase! Even though it’s designed for deer hunting, I actually use it for trimming trees around my yard, and it works perfectly for that purpose. The ladder is very solid and stable — once properly installed, it feels extremely safe to climb. The metal frame is strong and durable, and the included straps hold it tightly to the tree, keeping it steady while you work. As long as you set it up in advance and use a safety rope, it becomes a safe and reliable way to reach high branches. It’s made my home tree-trimming projects so much easier and safer. One small suggestion: if the ladder steps were a little wider, it would be absolutely perfect — that way both feet could fit comfortably on the same rung without squeezing. Overall, this is a sturdy, practical, and well-built ladder that’s great not only for hunters but also for homeowners who like to take care of their trees. Highly recommend it! 🌳🔧

Good 20’ ladder, no need to get crazy with something like this. It works great and I like it. It comes with pull down straps, fit the top and base I used ratchets to make sure things are solid. Buyers to be aware there is a top and bottom! I didn’t really dive into the instructions to be honest and I put my ladder upside down…. The part that goes to the top has the brace foot closest to the end of the ladder.

I WAS GOING TO BUY THIS LADDER A COUPLE YEARS AGO BUT DID NOT LIKE SOME OF THE REVIEWS STATING THE SECTIONS OF LADDERS DID NOT LINE UP CORRECTLY..WELL..I JUST RECEIVED THE LADDER A COUPLE DAYS AGO..I TRIED TO ASSEMBLE IT..AND..I FOUND OUT ONE SECTION OF THE LADDER WAS TO NARROW TO FIT THE OTHER SECTIONS..I TRIED TO REARRANGE ALL THE SECTIONS TO SEE IF IT WOULD FIT..NO GO..SO..I SLIDE THE NARROW SECTION IN BETWEEN THE WOODEN STEPS AT MY SIDE DOOR AND BENT IT OUT A LITTLE..CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THE WELD WAS NOT DAMAGED AND THE SECTION FIT..ALSO..ONE OF THE BRACES THAT BUTTS UP TO THE TREE WAS WELDED WRONG AND LEANS TO ONE SIDE A LITTLE..I THINK IT WILL WORK O.K. ON THE FIRST SECTION OF LADDER CLOSEST TO THE GROUND..I HAVE NOT YET PUT IT ON A TREE BECAUSE ALL THE TREES IN MY YARD ARE LEANING BADLY...SEEMS TO BE A STURDY LADDER..I GAVE IT 4 STARS DUE TO THE FOR MENTION PROBLEMS.

Fast delivery and easy to install

Bit disappointed in the quality. The ladder sections arrived with several bare spots in the coating and pre rusted, especially on the welded areas. Not what I'd expect from a brand new item. Welds looks uneven/ a bit concerning in some areas. Another note to be aware of- my ladder steps measures roughly 7 ¾ inches across. It says in the description (which I failed to read) that they are 8 inches, but just be aware that they are very narrow and won't allow more than one foot per step. Overall, a bit lacking on quality, even for a more budget option, and there are better budget ladder steps out there.

I use this ladder to take care of my trees. It allows to climb very high safely along a straight trunk (ex: pine trees). Very useful for pruning or attach a rope high up for guiding a tree cut. The product is sturdy and safe, a little narrow, but it works very well.

These ladders are great for hang on tree stands. I purchased 4 of them and used last year. The only thing that I did was beef up the straps. I will be purchasing more this summer
