Pour Over Coffee Maker

I've had this for two years now, and I still absolutely love it. I have a chemex as well, but usually I end up reaching for this instead. The wood collar has a stretchy band on it, so it's easier to get on and off for cleaning compared to tying the leather cord on the chemex. The collar contours to the curves much better than the chemex as well, so it feels solid and stays in place while pouring. I also use it for the blasphemous purpose of keeping leftover coffee in the fridge, so the wooden cover/top is great for that. Looks sleek and modern in the kitchen, and has a nice weight to it. I'll admit, I also tend to just throw it in the dishwasher for cleaning. I haven't noticed any chips or flaking inside or outside. I'll be ordering a few this year for gifts.

This product came in a very nice box that would be perfect for a gift. It is nice to look at on the counter and blends with any kitchen decor. It is a nice ceramic --- like a coffee mug. I used a cone coffee filter and I usually grind my own coffee. This pour over allows me to control how hot my coffee is. It is very nice when you only want to fix one cup or if someone drinks a different type of coffee ( such as decaf) from other people. The coffee is delicious and the carafe has a rubber seal that keeps the coffee hot until you want it. I would recommend this item!

Aesthetically this is a very nice looking product with a pretty nice quality feel. From a practical standpoint it does have one setback, you cannot see how much you've filled it, so you must pre-measure the amount of water you're using for your pour-over. I really liked it but landed up returning it before use because of my own poor choice in not considering the pre-measurement inconvenience, not realizing you cannot leave on the warm stove and it's size was a little small for the two large mugs of coffee I consume every morning. (In fairness to the supplier these were all clear enough in the advertising.)

I bought two pour over coffee systems back in January 2021. I purchased the ceramic carafe and the Hario V60. The V60 came first and I loved the pour over taste. I was previously a french press coffee drinker. With the Hario V60 I would place the system directly over my yeti tumbler and after the pour over process I would have piping hot coffee. The only draw back is that twice I have accidentally knocked the tumbler over while I was in the pour process and would have to start over. I finally broke out this system for the first time this morning to see if it would provide more stability when using the pour over method. Unfortunately, when I tried the first sip this am, my coffee was lukewarm. This system does not keep your coffee hot. I'm assuming it's because it's going into a cold ceramic carafe. I ended up having to microwave my coffee to get it hot. I will keep this as a back up, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd go with the Hario V60. It is also super easy to transport and take on a vacation and not worry about breaking the ceramic.

I specifically chose this carafe for its aesthetic and colors, as it matched the rest of my coffee equipment. The coffee i've made has come out great and the product is very easy to clean. When I received the product, the cone was cracked and within two days of contacting the seller, I had a new cone shipped to me. This is a great product that is backed by a great seller.

This is an excellent pour over coffee maker that has the aesthetic I was looking for. I received the product in beautiful packaging that would make this easily a very presentable gift. On opening, I noted that the product's components were well secured within the packaging/case, so if you're shying away from buying ceramic on Amazon due to fears about it breaking, I think this can survive most trips unless handled with extreme carelessness. The dripper portion works well with the #2 cone filter CoffeeSock, and I would recommend using the cloth filters over paper ones (at least I prefer the taste). The carafe is also elegant, and I appreciated in the inclusion of the cap, though I tend to drink my coffee soon after brewing. I can only think of one way to improve the product, which would be to sell the dripper with multiple sized carafes, similar to how Chemexes come in multiple sizes. The look of dripper and carafe is a brilliant combination of modern (because of the sleek black color) and rustic (because of the wooden accents and the use of ceramic). Fits very well with darker reimagining of boho modern, farmhouse chic, or midcentury modern decor. Cannot recommend enough that you pull the trigger on this! I may be gifting this to coffee loving friends for this year's holiday season!

Update: After less than 2 months of use, we noticed that there was a ring of coffee pooling under the carafe. We discovered a small crack in it. We gently hand wash it every morning and don’t know how it could have gotten damaged. This product is not durable. Gorgeous, functional, sturdy! Perfect!!! We use # 2 filters with these and they are great!

This coffee maker is beautifully designed and extremely high quality. It makes wonderful coffee with whatever bean/flavor you personally enjoy. It's easy to use and easy to enjoy. It's a little small for coffee drinkers as it produces approximately 18.5 ounces of flavored coffee. That said, it is perfect to take on trips away from home in that it is small in size and releases one from using a hotel/motel in room coffee maker that may or may not have been used/cleaned appropriately. In terms of coffee flavor, the quality of the flavor is easy on your palate. I'd recommend you experiment with portion control to perfect your perfect blend and cup. Worth every Penney! This is a high quality product, beautifully made.
