CableCreation USB C to 3.5mm Headphone and Charger Adapter,2 in 1 Charger

First, lets clarify something. I'm not sure why other people are complaining so much in some reviews. This adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do. It replaces the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack on newer phones and provides a way to charge your phone at the same time. The product description clearly states that it won't fit if you have a very thick case on your device. This is nothing new in the small electronics device world. Suck it up buttercup. If your device case is an issue, and preventing you from using this product in the way it is intended, get a new case. The product itself is fantastic! It fits securely in the USB-C receptacle of my Samsung S22 Ultra, with a mild but positive click. There is no setup involved. You simply plug in your phones or IEM's and off you go. This brings us to the audio quality. It's simply outstanding, far surpassing my expectations. Either by using a decent DAC chip or building a proper circuit around that chip, or both, it has plenty of juice to drive ant IEM and likely most low ohm headphones to sufficient loudness levels. Paired with a good app like Poweramp, you are in business. I'm very impressed that such a small investment provides this much performance. Do not be swayed by the negative reviews, and obvious personal issues that are a "one-off" situation, with individuals who have unrealistic expectations for a product that goes for under $20.00. If you want a very decent DAC/USB-C to 3.5mm converter, and don't need additional amplification to drive headphones, these are the answer. I would buy this again over and over if I were to lose mine. I don't know what kind of longevity I'll get from this product, but it feels solid. Cable Creations builds other high quality items that I use in other parts of my personal device instruments, digital audio workstation, and home studio. They always have mainstream and difficult to find gear, with value and performance that exceeds my expectations at a price that beats the competition. Go for it.

Only had this for a few months at this point but it’s still working and doing what I need. I think in products at this price it’s about all you can ask. I had to buy an extension to get around the case, but wasn’t surprised. I think it will actually help longevity since these look prone to failure if you happen to twist as you plug them in or out. Basically the less you handle it the better. I don’t use it for music, so for a mostly spoken audio user you’re unlikely to notice any difference using this splitter. If you are an audiophile you should buy a device that doesn’t need a splitter, just saying! This basically works exactly as advertised and I have no complaints. It does exactly what I need it to, allow me to use earbuds and also give it power. Just be aware if you have a case you’ll need an extension which adds a bit of cost and if you will be handling it a lot, using it from your pocket or purse, expect a shorter life. Bumping to a 5 star. I have lost track of how long I’ve had this splitter and it’s still going strong. Couldn’t ask for better!

I've gone through multiple corded USB-C audio/power adapters over the past years. They all ended up not working after a few months; usually caused by a short in the cable. It seems inevitable. So after looking at this one, I though maybe, just maybe, it'll be different this time. PROS: I have a moto Z4 and it plugs in without any issues, even with a case on it. My phone does have a 3.5 mm audio port, but with the case on it, some cables can't plug in all the way. Using this adapter circumvents that problem. I've only had an audio glitch one time where the sound wasn't recognized in the few weeks I've owned it. Replugging the adapter in fixed the issue and it hasn't shown up again (so far). CONS: As many other reviewers mention, any device that has a case on it may not let the adapter plug in all the. YMMV. I've used it with other phones and tables that have cases and it's all dependent on how much area a case on device exposes around the UBB-C port. If this survives more that a few months without any degradation in quality of sound and/or construction, I might up the rating. Vice versa, if it goes the other way.

Great Because of No Cable! Previous adapter I bought died because of crap CABLE connecting the USB-C plug to the 1/8" plug. Also, a feature that makes this unique and and valuable is that you can plug in your 3.5 mm (can we call it 1/8"?) headphones AND a USB-C device, like a charger, at the same time! Only negative is the PRICE. A little steep. ($15 would be more reasonable).

I tried numerous times to like this thing and maybe I got a bad one but it hasn't worked from day one. I pulled it out of the package and hooked up the headphone jack to an old stereo we have in our shop and it started playing music just fine. I plugged in the charge cord at the same time and my phone told me to charge faster use the supplied charger, this didn't really bother me as I bought it for music playing and not for the changing feature. After about 1&1/2 minutes of play time the music stopped and I'd have to hit play again as if it had been unplugged, after doing this several times I unplugged it and checked the phone port for lint and other debris and it was clean. I then checked the headphone port and it was also clean. I plugged it back into my phone and checked to make sure my phone case was not obstructing it from going into the port but there was daylight between and it was all the way into the port. I have messed with this thing for weeks on my off days to no avail. I found one for $3.99 at the local convenience store by chance and it works flawlessly. I wouldn't waste my money on this thing if given the chance again.

This product is very convenient to be able to use headphones and charge at the same time. And it has great sound. However, my first one wore out after less than 6 months, the sound started cutting in and out and it became loose and jiggly. It also heats up very quickly, not sure why. I bought a second one and it is working fine but does get very hot.

I have a Motorola Edge Plus 2023. This item allows me to use headphones by themselves or while charging... Sometimes I get carried away after a long day and it helps me to unwind while watching/listening to relaxing videos. So after using my phone all day and then using it again at night I sometimes need to charge it. Well I like to change my phone when it gets to 40%, but it's back to 100% very quickly! It's an excellent phone and this little item really helps me. I just don't like the lag in wireless headphones/earbuds and even inexpensive wired headphones/earbuds have very good sound quality. Maybe I'm old school in thinking this way, but this item gives me the choice to do as I want and it's excellent! Some people said they couldn't charge and listen to music at the same time, but that wasn't the case for me. I do believe in the description below photos of the object, there's a list of phones that are not compatible. My phone works perfectly with this device and I am having with how well it works. Some people said their device stopped working after a year. So far mine works great. The quality seems good, so I believe this device will keep on working after 1 year. I'm hoping that I'll at least get 3 years of excellent use from it. I consider this to be about mid range in price. The sound is really good for the price and I am enjoying it. By the way, it arrived very well packaged and on time. This was professionally packaged and arrived safe. I highly recommend this item and this seller!

I started to return this items since it SEEMED to stop working in <2 weeks. The charger+ just fell from my Samsung Flip Z 3 --- wouldn't charge even if held --- original wired charger stayed tight and functioned. SO, WHAT HAPPENED? I liked this product, it seemed of good quality and I wondered WHY it suddenly stopped working. After reading some negative reviews here, including the one that stated the connector should be longer to fit the phone EVEN WITH A CASE. I looked at my phone's port --- the phone was tight in the hard (plastic) case left to right BUT it appeared it had slipped in the clear case JUST slightly. I bumped the case (not too hard) on a table and the phone slipped down JUST a bit. Viola! --- the connector+ worked JUST FINE again. It's a KEEPER!

This dongle is great and as it fits horizontally I can use my holster and have room for my wired earbuds with a right angle 3.5 mm plug. It also allows charging while the earbuds are plugged in. If you have invested in expensive wired 3.5 mm plug earbuds this will work well. There have recently been a number of well-reviewed USB-C wired budget earphones with DACs coming on the market (COOYA, KLIM Fusion, ULIX Rider, TITACUTE) so there will be a lesser need in future for the dongle.

It's a really nice product and a good solution that allows me to use a more confortable headset that doesn't fit Samsung's phones. I'm waiting on you to exchange the other item I've purchased that came defective! Thank you

Ich nutze den Adapter für das Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Der Adapter funktioniert einwandfrei und hält was er verspricht! Die Tonqualität ist sehr gut und auch das Aufladen mit dem Adapter während der Nutzung der Kopfhörer funktioniert. Es lädt schon etwas langsamer als bei direktem Kontakt mit dem Ladekabel, aber das fällt kaum auf. Kleiner Minuspunkt: Die Nutzung des Mikrofons funktioniert zwar, wenn der Adapter im Handy steckt, jedoch nicht mehr, nachdem man die Kopfhörer verbunden hat. Also kein Telefonieren oder Aufnehmen von Sprachnachrichten mit den Kopfhörern drin. Daran gewöhnt man sich aber schnell. Der Adapter steckt sehr stabil im Gerät, hat keinen Wackelkontakt und zeigt auch keine Anzeichen von Lockerung nach wiederholtem Rein- und Rausziehen.

Used on ROG 2, Samsung S20+ Supports PD charging at 30w+ No audio interference. Clear HQ audio. Only issue audio split works only one way as the type c port is not reversible. Charging works in reversible though. Have not tried Data transfer so can not comment. On a expensive side, but its a quality product.
