Awesome Turf
This is a great product. Not like real turf, but definitely better than cheap mats, and you can hit under the ball. The one warning I would give is that if you are intending to use this as with a simulator, I would get at least a 4x5. While the 3' is big enough for all clubs, with the simulator you need to move your body position forward and backwards on the mat as the hitting dot stays constant. I end up sliding the simulator based on the club I'm hitting.

Great price on a great mat!
I use this in conjunction with the Net Return Pro Series net and a Skytrak launch monitor. The mat is used on a concrete patio. The mat is thick and heavy. I have seen where reviewers of other mats mention that their mats move when the club strikes the mat. Not with this mat! Being able to use real tees is very cool. I hate the rubber tees you have to use with most mats. The mat provides ample cushion at impact, even with concrete underneath. I have hit hundreds of balls so far, and the mat is no worse for wear.

Really nice mat
So, I've only had this mat for a short while, but wow...what a great practice experience. The turf is dense and pretty daggone realistic. Your club will grab on heavy shots without sustaining any green plastic scuff on the sole like you get with the cheapy mats. Seller delivered ahead of schedule, so no complaints there. The only gripe I have is that the edges are not finished in any way and there's a bit of fray around the edges....think of a piece of cut carpet. Time will tell how well the mat holds up...I'm considering using a propane torch to melt the edge down to prevent further fraying. All in all, a really nice surface to hit from in either your garage or out in the yard.

Lousy product - EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Just wanted to give an update to my original post below. I have attempted to resolve this issue with DW Quail and 5 Star. I can't even get them to return my calls and emails. I have reached out at least 30 times and they just ignore me. I finally offered to just keep the mat and purchase their rubber backed version if they were willing to give me at least some customer inconvenience credit. THEY NEVER CALL BACK. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!!! By the way the picture above was taken after two days of sitting in 85+ degree sunshine like they suggested. Amazon requires that you give at least 1 star. I wish I could give them negative 5 stars. I just reported them to the BBB.ORIGINAL POSTSince I set up my practice area in my garage I need to be able to move the hitting mat. I decided to purchase this mat because it was lighter weight and could be hung on a wall for storage. Positives: light weight, no bounce or rebound on shots, real feel, requires you to strike the ball first (like on turf) so it encourages good technique (many mats are hard and allow you to strike the ball well even on mishits), use of real tees, reasonable cost. Negative: Since the mat has to be moved each time I set-up my practice area I can not glue it to the floor or leave it sitting on the concrete between uses. As a result the edges "curl under" when the mat is stored. The long edges front and back will flatten when the mat is put in place but the short "end" edges continue to curl. This makes it impossible to place a Skytrak unit on the mat. The ball needs to be placed at least 18" from the edge of the mat because it rolls toward the middle of the mat when placed. The manufacturer suggested that I lay the mat outside in the sun backside up and it would flatten. Trouble is there's 6 inches of snow on the ground today and the temperature is 21 degrees. (Just left it out in 85+ degree sunshine for 2 days, the picture above shows the results) As I said it is a great mat if it would lay flat! Wish I would have purchased the one with the backing that still allowed the use of wood tees.

Disappointing
For the price, it’s disappointing that after a few uses you can see your swing pattern in the mat.

Great practice mat
Great!! This mat is not too hard like other driving mats where it vibrates your hands. It also allows you to hit down and through the ball. The size is perfect for using all clubs. It’s easy to move and keep clean. The dogs also love to lay on it and scratch their backs without hurting the mat.

Professional quality and durability.
This mat is a great product. Over two thousand hits and still no wear. It's amazing the results you can achieve with regular practice. I've gained club head speed, distance and most importantly consistency in my shots.During the recent stay at home order due to COVID19 I've increased my driver club speed from 80-85 mph to 95-100 mph. That extra speed translates to added distance. During my first three rounds after lockdown my average driver distance improved from 180-190 to 250+. Same with my irons. 7 iron improved from135 yards to 165. 9 iron use to be 100 yards now I'm hitting 135 yards. These biggest improvement though is in my accuracy. Practicing almost everyday has built up the confidence in my swing that I need to actual swing the golf club instead of trying to muscle the shot.Of course the mat didn't add the speed, yards or distance but the practice did. Combined with a hitting net, some Almost Golf practice balls, a Zepp Golf 2 swing analyzer attached to my glove and finally a Flightscope Mevo to track my club & ball speed improvements. The improvements from my first 3 rounds have dropped me from a +100...yeah I sucked to high 80's - low 90's. I think I'll get lower as I adjust to the increased distance I am getting across all my clubs.

Awesome feel
Love, love, love this hitting mat. Better than the ones at the country club down the street. No need for the rubber tees, just peg like on real turf. Company is very responsive and has great customer service.Update: have been using for some while now with a launch monitor. Fat strikes definitely kill ball speed and distance, consistent with real turf. This mat responds as well as I could expect for not being real turf. Is not overly punishing on heavy strikes, but gives the feedback to let you know you didnt hit it well.
