You should be able to clean the spout with fingers and cloth, but if you have large fingers you may want something like a bottle brush or cheap toothbrush. My kid takes this to band and it a good size, stays nice a cool even in August heat all day, and take the kind of thoughtless abuse a teenager hands out. It was a good buy and would be a nice size for a family trip where you bring your lunch along as well.

I bought this to see if I could use it for incubating homemade yogurt and it worked fabulously well! In six hours, my yogurt was perfect. I then featured it on our YouTube Channel in our yogurt video. I have used it several times and I love it for that. I do have to place a towel on the top as the lid is not insulated.

I bought this thermos to take cold water to a golf course which has removed all on-course water sources. I fill it about half way with ice cubes and the rest of the way with about 3 quarts of water. It keeps the water cold in the Florida summer heat for about 8 hours. However, the top has no insulation, so it sweats. The water spout is sealed by a plastic O ring. Moving the spout causes the O ring to move and the seal to be lost, so the thermos leaks on the golf cart when pouring water. If you're not careful, it leaks on you, too. A very poorly designed seal keeps this from being a great product.

Great water jug for working outside or anyone needing to keep a good amount of water cool for long periods of time. I purchased multiple for my guys that work outside in the heat at all day to make sure they stay hydrated.

Major spout leak. Have to regularly adjust gasket or it will pour water on you while you try to drink from it. May just be a defect so company refunded.

Although the overall quality of this jug is quite good, there is a serious problem with the rubber gasket inside the spout. After about 2 weeks of regular use, the gasket loosened (or whatever happened to it) and began catching on the edge of the spout which made it refuse to open fully. Even when it did open, it leaked 90% of the time if the problem wasn't manually fixed by removing the spout and reseating it in a fully open position. One thing makes up for that though; it works well as an impromptu chair.

This cooler is used everyday by my husband who works in construction. He loves it, it keeps his water cool and is very durable. Easy to clean out.
