Elegant small Modern Butsudan with Built in Nichiren Gohonzon framed in golden paper. Features sliding shoji doors and USB Fairy LED Light (outlet plugin not included). Shoji doors made with thick art paper and decorative washi rice paper with gold linings. Gold metal door clasp. Made with beautiful yet lightweight pine wood. Contemporary yet traditional in style The Gohonzon is one of the main object of veneration in Nichiren Buddhism. It was first inscribed by Nichiren himself. It consists of the Daimoku in the middle which is a Sino-Japanese chant Namu Myoho Renge Kyo which means "Homage to the Mystic Law of the Lotus Sutra". Surrounding the Daimoku is the title of various Buddhas including Shakyamuni Buddha, Bodhisattvas, Four Heavenly Kings, and other deities. The other two object of veneration that is less popular are just the Daimoku itself or an image or the Eternal Shakyumi Buddha of the Lotus Sutra. This Butsudan is perfect for those who do not have a lot of room or simply prefer a smaller design for daily Daimoku chanting and practice. This is ideal for independent Nichiren Buddhists and Nichiren Shu practitioners
