IFit Module

Be ready for a project if you want to set up, install, and use this item. I read the reviews before purchasing and still decided to purchase this product knowing other users had problems. I am glad that it is installed but not sure that I would do it again.Setup took approximately 3 hours (including installing the iFit Wifi Module, setting up a workout program, and downloading workout to the treadmill).Instructions are included in product packaging and must be followed exactly.Setup involved disconnecting laptop computer from local network, connecting to the product Wifi signal, setting up the product through the new Wifi connection, signing into the iFit website, creating an iFit account, disconnecting from the product Wifi, reconnecting laptop to the local network, connecting the iFit Wifi Module to the treadmill, and then turning on the treadmill and connecting to iFit.The final step in the process is to download or create workouts and sync them to the iFit Wifi Module installed in the treadmill.After all this, the iFit Wifi Module still needs to connect to the iFit website (every time it is used) where workout(s) are stored. The connection works most of the time but not always. Please note that we have a very fast internet connection.

Unlike others, I got it to work relatively easily however the added features are poorly implement. My NordicTrack elliptical came with few programmed workouts with the idea being you could get more via iFit (DLC mentality I never thought I would see in workout equipment). This might have worked out great if that was the point of iFit. Instead, the main point of iFit seems to be displaying a workout route from Google Maps on your phone or tablet, so you feel like you are running outside. It does this poorly. For my purpose, it was even worst as most of the workouts on the site were geared towards this poorly implemented digital tourism. I just wanted basic 45 minute interval training settings, which took far too much digging to find as there was no search functionality. When I did find some, they were not customizable and the download process was buggy as all get out.End of rant. Sway away from this thing. It is like bad DLC for your workout equipment.

I was unsure if I should buy this product due to the negative reviews. Well, they are wrong. I bought it and love it. It only took me 5 minutes to connect to my wifi. Yes, when my treadmill lost power (I unplugged it) I had to re-connect to the wifi, again in under 5 minutes. I am not technically savvy, but I do read and follow the directions provided. The first day I mapped my neighborhood and walked that, the next day I did a hike in Arizona, the next a walk in Poland, etc. Next month I have plans to train with Jillian Michaels through my iFit module. I love that everyday I walk/hike/run in a different part of the world. I'm not getting bored and hating my workout. So far this product has delivered on all of it's sales pitches and not left me disappointed.

The module arrived fine and I plugged it into my NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill. I was able to connect it to my wifi network ok, but when I tried to use the iFit, it kept giving me a "weak signal" error. I tried resetting it. No joy. I pulled it out of the treadmill, reinserted it and tried again. Still a "weak signal" error, even though the wireless router was 20 ft. away and practically line-of-sight. Lather-rinse-repeat. Then, nothing.No light. No error message. Nothing.Because this item came from a 3rd-party vendor, Amazon refunded my money. I am giving this item 2 stars instead of one because I did get a year's worth of the iFit coach service via the enclosed coupon, so it's no a total loss.

I write from Mexico. Although several sites I've read negative reviews, I decided to buy it in other site (the reviews positive and have some experience and enough patience in the configuration of some devices for my guitar and my pc card I encouraged ). Effectively the instructions at the beginning seem very simple, in fact the site provides videos very clear on how to configure it via smartphone. Try as the steps with this method, using my smartphone with android, but... fail. So I decided to try it with my tablet Surface RT... another failure. I pass near 1 hour tried and another thinking that had done wrong. (Since then the doubt of my decision began to emerge) So wait to the next day back to try it.New day, new try. Now the hare with my PC, use browser Chrome as recommended by the manufacturer (after reset the module by previous failures of yesteaday)... success! In only four minutes this is working! In my treadmill Nordictrack download the exercise of the day and works! Already put in this I do my first map and... failure! Download nothing from nothing. Incredible!I step three, four hours, resetting over and over again the module. Switching on and off my treadmill. Nothing works! So lose my time looking for help in the site and in the web, when suddenly is me occurs see my profile in the site, a moment after see the paragraph of billing and to the see the history see that appear them programs of Jillian Michaels that attempt to download in my tests, but my membership not appeared! (When creating my account I introduced my code! That this happening? This router is 3 m of the treadmill. I finished using the treadmill disconnect it completely and turn off my old router. The day following first connect my router and let to start and then only turn on my treadmill.I hope my case help to others to solve its problem. Best regards!

Was a giant pain to set up. Worked fine after we spent 3 days going back and forth with customer service to get it set up.
