This is a very good cage for my mouse. He loves it and genuinely seems to be happy in it. The assembly was much easier than a lot of reviews I read made it sound. I was worried about how easy it was going to be to clean too, but it is actually very very easy to! The bottle that came with this set up actually doesn't leak! I almost didn't believe it. Everything seems to be decently made. What Pets is the Cage Suited For? Contrary to what the description says. I do not think this would be good for most hamsters. This cage genuinely is not big enough for any Syrian. The tubes may be, but Syrian hamsters need much more space than this. If you're looking for a cage for a Syrian I would go for the Prevue Pet Small Animal Home. It's the amount of space they need and will keep them in. It also gives them a place to climb. Even if you have a dwarf hamster though I would not recommend these types of cages. Hamsters, especially dwarfs, need much more unbroken floor space (min. should be about 24 inches long and 12 wide). Mice do much better in more vertical enclosures, whereas most dwarfs do not. I would use a bin that you can DIY mesh on. You can find tutorial videos on YouTube. It is very easy and cheap. TL;DR - This is a very good cage for a male mouse!! Of course a single female mouse would do fine too, they just tend to do better in groups. I don't know if I would keep two (females) in here, it depends on how bonded the pair are. I wouldn't use it for any more than 2, though. Most other rodents this will not work for. If they made this in a bigger size there would be almost nothing bad to say! It's just most commercial rodent cages are a bit too small.

This cage is phenomenal. When I first adopted my hamster Rosie, I got one of the cheaper cages that looked good in pictures, but was definitely a cat fish. Rosie loves this cage and so do I. Yes it is smaller, but it is not small. What I also love about it is that this cage is expandable. The manufacturer even included parts to help connect different manufacturers products to this one. I am really interested. My hamster loves climbing the cage, and unlike the other cage that was big but just tall empty space, she can climb on the cage and does not need to worry about falling, although, that was more so me worrying than her. The water bottle is very tall, making it need to be filled less frequently. The only small thing I would suggest for easier daily use is since the door is in on the top of the cage part, sometimes it can be difficult to maneuver my hand in the cage to let Rosie out. Arguably though that is a benefit since I don’t have to worry about Rosie somehow figuring a way out of the cage. I’m honestly considering getting another one of these cages just to connect to the one I have, Rosie loves this cage. (Rosie is a Large Short Hair Syrian Hamster)

The time most spend on putting this together was the black clip in 'screws' they were actually really hard, I used a small hammer on the last one, it just didn't want to clip in. Everything else was really simple to put together. The sand 'shower' clip was totally broken, if super glue doesn't hold it nicely I will completely remove it. Their's also a thin gap in the plastic connecting the top together. The wheel is also small, I would say it's more for dwarf hamsters. You could damage the hamsters spine if the wheel is too small. This is great for people with small rodents like dwarf hamsters, I wouldn't recommend it for any other size animal. Perhaps gerbils. The quality of the cage overall is nice. I did have to bend a few pieces back into place on the metal though upon arrival. Overall I'm not sure if I would recommend this to a new hamster owner because of how hard it is to put together. But I do like that it comes with tunnels, a wheel, and a bath.

We bought this cage as an addition to our dwarf hamster's main cage. She really loves it and uses all the levels. What I really like about the cage is that it gives her so many different areas to claim and use. We put fluff on some levels and she likes to sleep on those. We put rocks on another level and she loves to play with those, pushing them around. The cage gives you an awesome view to watch your hamster from. I wouldn't use this cage as a hamster's primary cage due to its size (they need space!!!), but as a secondary cage it is awesome. A few things to be aware, it helps to get additional tubes, there is a bit of a big drop if you connect a cage to this and we ended up adding tubes so our hamster could get down easily. We ended up removing the wheel because our hamster had issues where she tried to crawl between it and the wall - we ended up replacing it with tubes and connected a lookout area on the top. Finally, if you connect tubes inside like we did to help your hamster get down from a connecting cage, there isn't a lot of room in the bottom of the cage (why I would recommend using this as an expansion cage). Overall I love this cage. It's been so fun to see our hamster start using all the spaces in it and it's really easy to remove the top portion's plastic wall for easy access to pet your hamster. It also makes me happy because she has seemed happier/more energetic since we got it.

NOT SUITABLE FOR ANIMALS. I just put this together last night and woke up to my hamster hung up and D3AD!! Absolutely wrong. Should have a warning!

This is such a cool design, but it just did not hold up for 3 gerbils. They chewed through any softer plastic (all the green things and ends of tubes), even when presented other appropriate things to chew on. Was difficult to clean the top part and tubes. We changed the bottom to a tube system into a larger cage below and it worked well as a "playroom" for the gerbils with their main area below. The metal bars had good spacing for gerbils and held up to many chew attempts. Great versatility to add this into a larger system for your animal(s). The wheel was excellent and quiet, but not recommended if you have more than one animal as space is limited (we had a larger wheel in the main cage, but the gerbils would all try to stay together, so one running at a time was never an option for them). Overall, I recommend this as a decent cage, just not for gerbils.

We bought this cage for my son’s dwarf hamster. The little girl is a bit of an escape artist, and the cage we first bought at the pet store had bars just far enough apart that she could sneak out. We found this one, loved how affordable it was, and all of the parts it came with. This cage has so far proven to be inescapable. We love that she has so many levels to explore, and have so much fun watching her through the plastic. Even the dog sits there and watches her run around on her wheel! It’s also really easy to clean, the upper part we just clean with a baby wipe, and easily dump the litter from the bottom. It might not be big enough of a cage for a larger hamster, but it’s the perfect size for our little Luna!

The middle section of this (the 2nd 'floor') was cracked when I received it. Not to the point of it being unusable for my TINY Chinese dwarf hamster babies. But it did arrive cracked. I looked up their customer service number and called them right away - this was on a Friday afternoon. I explained the situation. They asked me to take pictures of it and send them the Amazon order info via email. I did that, late on that Friday. They shipped out that piece and I received it 4 business days later. They were excellent to deal with and shipped it to me quickly. I didn't need to send anything back. Just took pictures of the cracked piece. And they shipped me that exact piece to replace it with. My 2 little hammies love this cage; though I do use a different wheel for them. They're so tiny, I use a small, 5" wheel instead of the large one this comes with. They have lots of room to run around and they climb all over the upper cage part. The bars are only 1/4" spacing. So, they can't get out. They're in there, safe and snug. And I can see them because of the clear bottom section; which I love. I highly recommend this cage for dwarf hamsters. Not sure if it would be enough room for more than one full-sized hamster, though.

I recieved the cage with two openings instead of one like in the picture, and only one door to block the opening. We spent a long time to assemble it only to find out the item arrived defective and does not work.

WoW I have bought many hamster cages. But I never seen this product before. Awesome 1. Super quality. 2. spare many parts : I have 4 white ring and more spare parts. In future, If there is something problem, I can use this spare parts. Weakness 1. When I connect the steel cage to plastic cage(upper clear plastic cage), It was too difficult for me.. :) Anyway, I will buy something more in your store. Thanks very much!

La jaula es HERMOSA, muy amplia para el hámster, yo tengo un Sirio, cabe Perfecto por la tubería, se pasea muy bien por las rampas, ama su casa que ya viene incluida, ella sube y baja por toda la casa sin ningún problema, yo la veo muy feliz. Lo que si hay que tomar en cuenta es que el acrílico es muy delicado, un golpecito y se rompe y NO HAY REPUESTOS DE NADA Y BYE BYE A LA MITAD DE TU JAULA!! es el único punto negativo que le veo. Su limpieza pues como cualquier otra jaula con la ventaja q no tienes que sacar a tu hámster de ella, solo divides la jaula dependiendo en qué parte esté. Accesorios extras de la tubería e buscado y no encontrado alguno que se compatible con los que ya trae para ampliarla.

We needed to replace our hamster cage after the cat figured out how to knock the tunnel off to get to the hamster. The hamster loves tunnels so I wanted to find an affordable cage with a tunnel on the inside. This one is great! The hamster loves it and is safe from the kitty! It also takes up much less space than the old cage. Our hamster is a large Syrian breed so he’s quite big and this cage is a great size for him. Should also work well for a rat but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything larger.
