Vampire Academy: The Complete Collection Kindle Edition

I was a little late to the show when it came the Vampire Academy Series, I purchased a box set and spread out the Rose and Dimitri goodness for about a year. I have to admit that it was the film adaptation that inspired me to pick up this collection of books. The tongue-in-cheek witty one liners and kick-ass heroine had me sold instantly.The film didn’t get that much praise, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the silliness and mythology of the world, though it was easy to see where it failed. There is so much information in every book in this series, that the movie could not include it all in order to help drive the plot forward. I also did not get the chemistry from the couple on screen that I did in the novels.Richelle Mead is a master of plot. The novels just kept getting better the further I got into the series. My favourite being ‘Blood Promise.’ What starts as a typical smart-mouthed teen, Rose really develops into a selfless warrior.I did want a little more from the end of the series though; there were many questions I did not get answers to, but I’m wondering if it will get explored further in the Bloodlines series.An attractive boxed set that gave me many, many hours of fun entertainment and solidified Rose as one of my favourite heroines. Glad to have it in my library collection.

I ordered the series after watching the first movie. In general it is an easy read, with a mediocre storyline. The books themselves were good quality with a nice size print.My only complaints are:1. That the 6 books have a very weird feel for the overall timeline in which they occur.2. The storyline looses some of it's initial creativity after the first book and falls into several common tropes.3. The series focuses significantly on typical "high school" problems: concerns about appearance, social standing, and relatively immature responses to big situations and problems. While being set in high school, there was significant potential for the author to show the characters growing out of the immature high school responses and into adults, but even by the last book, I felt for the most part this was missing in a major way. I was very disappointed.In general, the story is geared towards teenagers ready to read about some very adult problems (death, murder, loss of a friend due to a direct result of the main characters actions, sex, and falling in love with someone who is not necessarily a good option).I would recommend this to a teenager ready to read about those problems, or an adult willing to put up with the high school nonsense for the sake of reading a somewhat different story.

One of my favourite book series! Looked it up after watching the movie on T.V a few months back and hoped the book was even better. It is!- A fantasy with it's own version of "vampiers" in 2-3 "catagories". written in a smart way, making those mystical people real and just as any humans, eccept the ones who are "un-natural" - thier soul taken from them. Interesting concept.Read all of them twice, one book after the other!You see the world through Rose- the heroin and through her- you also see the world through her best friend/like sister- Lisa's eyes...both about 17 when the book starts.Really wish there was more books from Rose's point of view- you could say I grew attached 😋 really related to her and also a bit to her best friend Lisa.I think it's suited more to ages 17 and up but I guess it also depends on were you are from and how grownup the reader is. Would advice parents to make sure teens talk about these books with a grownup and hash issues they run into there (but I think most books for teens and up should be discussed and prossesed with a grownup).

Book set is in great condition. The price was great for a set of 6. Some are saying it's cheaper to buy individually but if you do the math and factor in shipping your not saving much if not at all.

I understand that this series is for younger kids but I found the first book enjoyable and was hoping the series grew with the reader, like the Potter series did. This series just got worse. Each book got more rushed and the development of the plot more lacking. I only finished the series because I was hoping for a satisfying ending for Rose. Instead, all I was left with was bafflement as to how anyone, including the author, could follow the story and find it believable. How is Dimitri’s family never mentioned again? How does Rose’s mom have a complete 180 personality change? How do all the characters just have the ability to plan perfect prison breaks, perfect getaways, and use magic without being caught? It just ended up feeling like the writer changed the rules as the story went along so her characters could do what she wanted them to do without writing a good base story to get them there.

Ones of my ultimate favorite series. Ever! Highly recommended. Richelle Mead is an amazing author. She is a master of plot and with every book took me deeper into her amazing world . She paints a complex world of both mortal and immortal vampires, and their human and half-human (damphir) allies. This series has my favorite vampire mythology thus far. I've read a lot of books related to this. None of them satisfied my ideas, I wanted more than a thirst for blood and superpowers. More than anything, I wanted complex characters, on both sides of the war. Meade definitely delivers. The only reason I rated it four stars is due to the condition I received the books in. When I buy new books, I expect them to be in perfect condition. These arrived in a plastic wrap which was suppose to protect them from damage However; Mine had minor flaws and I was very disappointed by this. Overall I am happy to finally own the entire series so I can re-read to my hearts content.

I had seen the vampire accademy film and really enjoyed and decided to see if there was anything else out there related. Discovered these books purchased yesterday and were delivered today day only opened the package at 7:30 and can't put them down nearly finished the first book already. Quality books well packaged

The book are amazing, such an engaging story and the characters are so well written. I read them in a week. Aside from the books itself the package arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition
