A musical stimulant form the 60s
Bim, Bam Boom was one of my favorites from my grad school days as a study aid for longer-term attacks on mathematically intense materials. Far more effective than anything by the Doors and others of the then current R&R genre. Maybe it was the preponderance of melody cum beat.

Magical, Joyful, Peppy, Energetic, Optimistic Music
These two albums that make up this CD release may not be related, but they are perfectly complementary. The music is magical, joyful, peppy, energetic, optimistic. I'm in my 40's, and I never thought I'd be playing the kind of music my late grandparents used to play in the house. Mr. Faith was a genius. Sure, this is instrumental, 60's pop that the cool kids weren't playing from their Corvairs and Mustangs, but it surely sounds hip to me in 2016. It's an aural treat. And it is Percy Faith. What's not to like? Bim, Bam, Boom and Themes for the "In" Crowd are two "must haves" if you are a Percy Faith or exotica music lover. Some relaxing music will melt your cares away.Bim Bam Boom, Reza, Sim, Samba De Orfeu, Nao Tem Problema, Enlloro, The "In" Crowd, A Lover's Concerto, Here It Comes Again, thunderball and See You Around are my personal favorites - although there are no weak tracks on this release.

Another Great Album by Percy Faith
I have been a huge fan of Percy Faith since high school. To some his orchestra performs "elevator music." I suspect that they fear the onset of Tourette's if they listen more than a few seconds. If you listen carefully, and I have no idea what the technical term for this might be, in his arrangements of familiar music, you can hear different instruments in the background accompanying the melody in an interesting variety of ways. To my ear it is like a musical bouquet with vibrant colors and fragrances that is just absolutely pleasing, unless you happen to loathe "elevator music."

4.5 Stars
This is one that I wish I could give 4.5 stars to. I absolutely love Bim! Bam! Boom! However, I only like Themes for the "In" Crowd. The Latin beat comes through clearly on Bim! Bam! Boom!. i enjoyed the tunes on the second album, but they weren't as striking. The reason I rounded up from 4.5 was that I loved Yesterday, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, and Thunderball.

BIM! BAM!! BOOOOM!!!! FOR PERCY FAITH
Another wonderful double-pack of two wonderful albums from the master of strings!!!; the first, with the typical latin flavour, simply enchanted, melancholic, outstanding and very danceable; the second, full of great 60's standards which were chart-toppers, always played with excellent strings and percussion arrangements that are the personal style of the master Faith... This kind of music and directors like this made listening a sublime experience for the ears!!! Enjoy it!!!

Percy Faith had a style that could never be duplicated
This terrific twofer CD has all the tracks from two of Percy Faith's record albums entitled "Bim! Bam!! Boom!!!" and "Themes for the "In" Crowd." This music highlights the artistry of Percy Faith & His Orchestra; they perform these numbers without ever letting go of a single superfluous note! This music should also bring back memories of when life was simpler: milk came in bottles, telephones had dials, and most of the Cadillacs on the road still had fins. Hey, folks, I know you can remember--it wasn't all that long ago! In addition, the quality of the sound is excellent and that artwork is very well done."Bim Bam Boom" starts the CD off with quite a sizzling number; the musicians deliver this faultlessly and it's very energetic. The drums add a good touch to the arrangement. "Reza" and "Sim" are very easy on the ear; I really like that horn solo on "Sim." "Estrada Branca" is quite elegant; and "Samba de Orfeu" couldn't be any better--what talent these guys had! "Tropic Holiday" is also energetic. "Oye Negra" gets the royal treatment from Percy Faith & His Orchestra; they use the brass to great advantage and it all holds its own very well. "No Balanco Do Jequiba (The Butterfly)" also has a marvelous, classic flavor to it that I could never tire of hearing; and "The `In' Crowd" has Percy Faith & His Orchestra squarely front and center, right where they belong!"Yesterday" is an excellent musical rendition of a tune by The Beatles; Percy Faith & His Orchestra give this a most sensitive treatment and it's quite memorable. "Are You There (With Another Girl)" is classic easy listening music; and there's another gem when they play a musical version of "Let's Hang On." "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away," originally by The Beatles, stuns me with its natural beauty; Percy Faith & His Orchestra do great justice to this number and it's a major highlight of this CD. In addition, "1, 2, 3" has Percy Faith and his mates doing a great job on an instrumental version of a tune I always like to hear; and "Lover's Concerto" is nothing short of perfect--this music is all THAT good."Thunderball" is quite well done and dramatic. A softer touch comes when they perform "Everyone's Gone to the Moon;" and they never miss a beat, either! The album ends with Percy Faith & His Orchestra performing a great rendition of "See You Around." Terrific!Percy Faith & His Orchestra never failed to please their adoring audiences; and CDs like this one prove that they had incredible talent. I highly recommend this CD for fans of Percy Faith; and anyone who loves classic easy listening/mood music will not be disappointed.

Excellent
This is one of the highlights of the Percy Faith discography. Faith was an excellent interpreter of Latin music, and Bim Bam Boom! is a showcase for his talents. His repertoire of Latin music goes back to his own tune, Brazilian Sleigh Bells, recorded as far back as 1950. Bim Bam Boom! is full of exciting rhythms, rich sounding orchestrations, orchestral vigor, and, when required, a lightness of touch. Music for the In Crowd is a wonderful companion album. The orchestral style Percy Faith had evolved by 1965 was warm and nuanced, a truly classic treatment of the music of that era. My two favorite orchestrations are A Lover's Concerto, with a tune from Bach, and Everyone's Going to the Moon. Faith's trademark harpsichord writing is noticeable on some of these items. This is really an indispensable CD for Percy Faith fans.

念願のTropic Holiday
1965年発表"Themes For The"In"Croud"と、1966年発表の”Bim!Bam!!Boom!!!"
