I ordered 2 of the passage levers to coordinate with the other Halifax door handles I've purchased from different sellers on Amazon. They arrived in pristine condition and I'm very happy with the purchase.I adore the Halifax style lever because it feels very high-quality and has a modern, minimalistic and almost industrial style. The levers are quite heavy. My contractor friend was also impressed by these and couldn't believe they were made by Kwikset. He commented, "Wow, Kwikset used to be cheap junk that builders installed in track homes."I particularly like how the Halifax includes 2 different shaped strikeplates: Square and radius curved. This is great when using these to replace existing hardware as it allows a good fit.Installation was easy for me, but only because I figured out the process with an earlier install. The first time around was a bit fusturating, but since I refused to accept that they would fit less than perfectly, I finally figured it out! The trick is determining if you need to use the enclosed spacers. These include the spaces for the latch, strikeplate and the round one that goes behind the front lever.TIP: If your lever doesn't fit or it latch closed perfectly, it's most likely the result of incorrect spacer use. The brass colored round spacer should be used if the levers feel loose after tightening the screws. Remove if it doesn't fit. If the latch is not the correct length, the spacer should be changed out (there's 2 options enclosed) or totally omitted. If the strikeplate fits too deep, use the spacer, and if not deep enough, remove it.Along my hardware replacement journey, I discovered that the Halifax lines looks nearly identical to the square rose style levers made by Baldwin. (I'm not sure who copied who.) The Baldwin equivalent seems to run about $60-$65. Asthetically, I don't really see a difference but perhaps Baldwin's version will endure a longer lifespan???I replaced the hardware on my exterior doors with the Baldwin Reserve handle set and used Halifax on the interior doors. They look perfect together. (Included a pic of the Baldwin lever on my garage door to show to show the similarities.)

I have replaced about 30 handles with these and have been happy.It will take some locktite to prevent them from coming loose as the locktite that is preapplied is not very good anymore.My one complaint is in the new passage handle style. I had installed a few of the old passage handle style and needed 2 more. I bought the new style as the old is hard to get and is more than double in cost.My issue/concern:The “new style” is more of a cost save option it seems.The handle can now only be installed with the screws in the verticals position (the backplate is keyed and tapped in a way that prevents rotating the core).The backplate for the handle is now a much cheaper feeling pot metal.The screws went from being a quality stainless steel (not 100% sure) 2 stage tap and fine thread screw to just a single stage tap screw.And, the decorative shroud has exposed tabs now.If this is an indication of where the quality has gone, I am glad I finished all the replacements I had already and I hope I don’t have to replace more in the future.Happy with what I was getting. Not as happy with where the quality has gone.

The finish of the handle is perfect. Very flat finish which is what I was looking for. Not brown undertones but it is a warm black which goes well with the flat black, bronze and farmhouse look. It was a little harder to line up over the other knobs I have installed, but not a bi problem. One handle had push button missing. I was sent a perfect replacement. I noticed however it is really cheap plastic mechanism for the push lock. The handle feels substantial enough. Not near to the Emtek front handle but not nearly as expensive either! It feels pretty darn good for the price however. Very stylish. Purchased 5 exterior handles and 5 deadbolts. I have synced one set handle and deadbolt. Grew tired of waiting for my hubby with his schedule so I gave it a go and was amazed at how easy it was to do.We were in deep in our remodel and we splurged on front door but salvaged the 4 other exterior doors. We removed the cheap plastic grid (amazingly jail like for our good views) We used a dremel (just protect the glass so you don't nick it) A good sponge roller of flat oil (rustoleum in can) We mixed to desired color their black, brown and white) Took 2 coats both sides. Tricky and impossible on hot day. We allowed to dry over 2 days before hanging on new black hinges (could paint too) We used our iron modern front door as a guide. House now painted and top transom is painted black too to blend.These handles were the perfect touch and saved!

Nice looking handle and easy to install.

It looks spectacular... Installed on one of my job sites for a medical office and customer is loving it... It just looks awesome... Great product for a very good price.... Would have paid a lot more at home depot....
