Perfect fit
Anderson has clearly stepped up their shipping game. I was worried after reading reviews about bent parts, but my new door panel was packed like a champ - sandwiched between two sturdy pieces of wood. It arrived in perfect condition and fit like a glove. No more wrestling with a broken door!

If you need this, you need it. It's not like you have an option... that said, the seller did an awesome job packaging this 6' long locking mechanism which showed up in perfect condition. It literally snapped into my existing door (once I pulled the broken lock out) and was up and running in under 20 minutes. Needless to say, I was quite happy and totally surprised it went together as easy as it did.

Arrived damaged.
Arrived late, Bent at top from shipping/Handling.Needed to use anyway. Door would not close and lock.No instructions in box.

Perfect fit
My initial problem was a droopy door handle that seemed to lose its tension. This part fixed my problem and now my door works perfectly.Measurement information on the product description made sure I bought the right part. I recommend reading the Q/A section as I found some valuable information there that matched my situation. Part arrived in plenty of packaging and was not bent like others described. Installation was very easy and straight forward. The only thing I had to look up online was how to flip left to right / in to out swing on the actuator. Door works great with the new part, much better then before.

worked for a few months then broke
I installed my Anderson patio door in 2009. The latch / lock assembly failed back in April.I replaced it with this latch/lock mechanism which worked fine for a few months, then last night just stopped retracting. I had to jimmy the latches open with a screwdriver. Even when opened, the latches do not retract and the locking bolt not operate. The last assembly lasted 13 years. This one lasted 3 months. Shipping from the seller was prompt, but the part itself is unacceptably poor. Very disapointed.
