A nice set of features in a compact package, with a couple of minor quibbles.
I earlier wrote a less-than-complimentary review about this, due to my poor eyesight, long familiarity with ProTrek watches, and the changes made in the means of setting up watch's caliber. My primary problem was that I couldn't figure out how to change the units from meters to feet, which was done in a manner quite unlike my former triple sensor watches, but turned out to be quite simple once I'd found a manual with print big enough to see. The resolution of the digital altitude reading is also better than previous triple sensors: 1m (or 3ish feet) vs 10m (or 20ish feet). But the altitude trend graph still uses the bigger increments. My other main concern was the backlight. While I'm still not thrilled that it doesn't use the EL backlight of previous models (it's side-lit by a couple of tiny LEDs), I found that the duration of the light can be adjusted to give you more time to squint at it.The watch overall is smaller than other models, which is a good thing. But you lose some more display to the solar cells, so overall the face is a bit cramped. And the contrast of the display is reduced from older models: while the numbers are nice & dark, the background is darker than older models, giving less contrast overall.

At that price I consider it a great deal, but much of the functionality that the ...
Functions well. It is about 1 second per week fast. The alarm is very difficult for my old ears to hear, so I don't use it. The battery charge went from medium to high after a couple of days in the sun. It has stayed on high ever since. The barometric pressure is in line with my personal weather station. The compass aligns well with the compass function on my iphone.. I have never calibrated the altitude, so it is reading 65 feet below sea level when I am about 45 feet above sea level. When I traverse from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor in the elevator, the altitude changes by 25 feet. That seems about right.I bought the watch on a deal day before Christmas for a little more than 1/2 what it costs today. At that price I consider it a great deal, but much of the functionality that the watch provides I can get out of my phone.

The watch band sometimes catches the hair on my arm.
The watch is great. Replaced the solar casio dive watch that I purchased in 1992. Two complaints. First, the watch band sometimes catches the hair on my arm because of a flap meant to better contour the watch to the wrist. The watch band itself isn't as sturdy as the 1992 model but I think it will wear well. Also, Secondly, the alarm beeper is very quiet. I can only hear it if I have the watch next to my ear. I haven't researched to see it the volume is adjustable.

Close to perfect for me...band is a bit short though
It's exactly as I expected, in replacing my worn out Casio Pathfinder. It's a bit smaller overall which is fine. What isn't fine is that the band is shorter. I may yet return it due to that.Functionally it's excellent. Some have complained about the internal light. I find it perfect. Easy to read the face in the dark. I like the inclusion of sunrise and sunset times.I've made no special effort to keep it in light and the battery level has remained on M and not risen to H.

Go everywhere watch!
Talk about an apocalypse watch that works. Since i have small wrists this actually works perfectly as most of the ABC type watches are a bit large and gaudy. It has its basic functions. Before you start reading other comments that downvote this wonder, you should really read the manual first. As for the temperature, pressure, compass, etc, there's an option to recalibrate it. Say it's 20C outside but your watch is reading 45C, you have to recalibrate it manually shown in the manual how to do so. Afterwards, it works just fine. I've read other reviews that say certain functions don't work properly, and that's because they just strap on this hardware and expect it to calibrate to satellites.

Inaccurate and inconsistent
A compact watch that displays time and date well and sits nicely on the wrist, but it falls down for me on the accuracy of altitude and temperature. The altitude variance is +/- 250 feet (as per the manual), and that is about right in my experience. Here in Florida, despite multiple re-calibrations, I was "underwater" to the extent of ~150 ft, or soaring at 200 ft! If that is good enough for you then go for it. The temperature reading is confounded by body heat. It reads accurately when NOT on my wrist, but reads higher when I wear it. The barometer, however, reads accurately and consistently after initial calibration.

Great triple sensor watch, love it
I am a faithful casio customer, my first gshock lasted a decade and still works even though the plastic is worn out. The tough solar gshock that replaced it is like new years later. I wanted a compass for hiking in a discreet good-looking watch. It is comfortable and works well. The temp is way off if you are wearing it due to body heat. It takes 20 min of it off to get an accurate temp, other than that it works as expected and is easy to use after skimming the thick manual.

Great Watch
I was looking for a reasonably priced watch to hike, workout, etc. with and this is exactly what I was looking for. Good size, nice materials, simple display unlike many watches of this type. The solar charging works great. I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to the G-shock. Just know that you will have to calibrate the barometer, thermometer, and altitude when you get it. This is very easy to do by using basic smartphone weather apps and the instruction manual.
