Like Buttah
Used this larger-than-I'm-used-to drill bit to put some holes in some 2x6 cedar boards for a blind shelf system I'm setting up. I'm no pro, and hardly even a novice so the size of this but was really intimidating when I opened the package. But, it worked like a charm, went through the cedar like butter, and I called it a success. Did what I needed it to do, and quite well at that.

Not a reduced shank!
This drill bit is not a reduced shank but a full 7/16” in diameter despite what photos and specifications indicate here and on other websites. If you need a 3/8” shank don’t be fooled like me. Why did you do this DeWalt?

Needed a 7/16th hole
This is a spinny thing that makes holes. 2 holes was all I needed doubtful I will ever use it again.

Lasted 1 week
Drill bit broke after 2 uses. Don’t really understand how a 1/2 inch drill bit snapped so easily when drilling a simple hole . Dewalt let me down and this dewalt drill bit performed like a generic made in Taiwan drill bit

Good bit, but a 1/2" shank.
I wasn't paying attention when I bought this bit and.... Well.... The shank is too big for my power drill. I had to use my hand drill.

Very pleased
Item arrived on time and performed as advertised. I use the bit to drill thru wood and steel for a wire path

There is no reduced shanks
The picture shows a reduced shank (3/8”) on this bit, but the shank is actually the same size as the bit (7/16”).
