The boys are back
Simple - if you loved this band you will love this reunion. Try to get the CD package with the DVD of the concert. The band has aged a bit, but Ian is nimble as ever and his voice overall is in good form. Bonus - filling in for Buffin is Martin Chambers! He fits like a glove. Mick is laid back but the riffs are as good as ever, Verdon plays his a$$ off and Overand is properly animated throughout. The song list is strong, with most of my favorites. Starts with R&R Queen, One of the Boys and the Moon Upstairs and keeps the fire burning the rest of the way.The medley of When My Minds Gone/No Wheels To Ride/The Journey is killer. And The Ballad of Mott is heartfelt - especially the line for Buffin (Ian pauses here and Chambers pays tribute).I *loved* this band in my teens (and still do), so the closing Saturday Gigs kind of brought a lump to my throat. Days gone by and all that...ps - I have the CD/DVD and the LP. The LP pressing is 180g and excellent sound, though a few pictures would have been cool.

THE ORIGINAL MIXED UP KIDS! MOTT THE HOOPLE! GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER!
Finally! I have a bootleg copy of the original 09 reunion but this is better! The sound and picture of the dvd is great and the cd'ssound as good if not better than MOTT LIVE Expanded Edition. Too bad Buffin the drummer was too ill to play and that ArielBender wasn't asked or allowed to play on the songs he recorded with the band! The band is tight and heavy as ever and thatMOTT magic is still there! They never lost it. For guys their age and being a MOTT fan since 70's they kick most young band'sbutts with sound and originality and attitude! Too bad they didn't do this in the 90's and record a new album. Ian Hunter is oneof the greatest song writers of all time and Mick Ralphs on guitar went on to super stardom with Bad Company are the twomost known members but bassist Overend Watts was KISS before KISS and Organ player Verden Allen who left after theYoung Dudes album is back and it's like they never broke up! Buffin was a great drummer so it's not a true reunion but theguy from the Pretenders [sorry don't know his name off hand] is a killer drummer and fits perfectly. The set list is killer except for missing Drivin' Sister! but it does have myfavorite and rare song DEATH MAY BE YOUR SANTA CLAUS with it's strange bizarre lyrics! If your a fan or not orwant to be and hear what all the fuss was about get this now and then get the MOTT Rockumentary Ballad of MOTT!Also get MOTT 74 dvd from Don Kirschner's rock concert! the full 4 songs are now available by collectors out there!I'm just got this and ready for the 2nd viewing of the dvd.

Best Ever!
If you are a Mott fan, then you should definitely pick up this CD/DVD! I've seen Ian Hunter in concert twice in the last five years or so in Cleveland with his 'Rant Band', but none of those live performances had the energy and sheer joy that is evident on this DVD! If you want to see Ian Hunter having one of the best times of his life, get this collection!

Excellent CD/DVD Combo!!
It was great to see the original Mott the Hoople line up (with the exception of Dale Griffin unfortunately). They're a little rough around the edges but they can still rock. Although this is considered an import, there was no problem playing the DVD on a region 1 (U.S.) DVD player. The package arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I would highly recommend both the seller and the CD/DVD.

Brilliant 3 disc set
Brilliant 3 disc set. The live 2 disc cd of the concert is basically a re-run of the 2009 Hammersmith shows (give or take a few tracks), though the DVD makes the purchase of this set a must.. If your a fan of Ian Hunter and Mott The Hoople then this set is a great reminder of the 5 dates in the UK in November 2013. I was at the Glasgow concert. A lot of complaints about the types of venues used for a band of Mott's reputation, which kind of messed with the atmosphere. But the quality of Hunter in particular shines through. The sound quality is brilliant and the dvd is brilliantly filmed..
