Mobil instal of 4 channel video surveillance on a 12volt low power system aboard a boat. Works well!
Purchased unit to record the outside of my boat. With 4 color cameras with wide angle lenses it is easy to record all the surroundings outside. Because it runs on 12volts it was simple to install power from my 12volt battery bank. Does not appear to draw a great deal of power. The video monitor is small but sufficient to view the cameras output. Easy to mount. The system came with long enough wires to install the camera to the farthest point of my 28’ vessel. Recording onto SD card. Recordings can be viewed while device continues to record. I have some issues with the cameras switching between color and black and white. When the unit arrived the on screen instructions were in Chinese- but I managed to change it to English using google translate on my phone. Honestly, I chose this unit based on its low price. Had I been able to afford the better model I would have preferred the WiFi, GPS, and 3g wireless connection that this device does not include. All in all, for the low cost, the 4 cameras, long wires, and basic functions, i could recommend this system to anyone requiring basic video surveillance on a vehicle or boat using low power at 12 volts.
