Well made. Quality materials.
I bought this to replace a faulty Belkin extension lead. This is the first MasterPlug product I've bought and I'm very impressed so far. Compared to the Belkin the materials used and how they're put together feels 100% better. The on/off switch doesn't feel cheap. It feels sturdy and secure, as does the casing. It looks as though this is a British company too, so I have a lot more confidence that it'll be safer than an electrical device manufactured in China. I'd had my previous Belkin extension lead for less than a year and it's started making electrical buzzing and the on/off switch doesn't work most of the time. Everything about this MasterPlug product seems much better. I've only been using this lead for 24 hours, but as long as it lasts, MasterPlug is the brand I'll stick to in future

Great quality.
The number of PC's and other peripherals - let alone the more humdrum domestic requirements mean we have quite a number of extension leads. Some were bought on Amazon, some from B&Q and other suppliers. Some are by Masterplug, some are by who knows who - a lot originated from China,The majority of our extension leads are used to provide power to bookcase shelves whereupon reside hiFi kit, TV's chargers, printers etc etc etc. Removing the mains plug to allow the extension unit to live on a shelf and then feeding the cable out of the back or sides of a bookcase is revealing of quality .A lot of examples of far east mmanufacture use a very cheap - and very flimsy - mains plug. The wiring to the L,N and E is very poorly done and it is very easy to pull the wires from the pins -only a cable restraint saves the day. Whilst I have not experienced any safety or other major issues from the examples I have bought, they just don't seem as solidly constructed as I would expect and it not unusual to find some socket outlets stop functioning after a while or they are just too close together to be useful. Masterplug are a notable exception. They are of very good quality and it is evident that they have been carefully assembled and are of a solid, sensible design. The Masterplug SRGLSU42PB-MP in particular exemplifies what appeals to me about Masterplug products. Ok,it is not cheap - quality has its price - but it is not outrageously priced. It is powering various bits of PC related kit on my study bookshelf and doing a grand job!

Good Quality, Good Aesthetics, Good Price, Safety built in - Happy Wife
Purchased two of these so far for a Home Office.Good quality and priced product with good aesthetics which is important for my wife when she is working from home!Surge protection built in with low white light to show the shield is in place and a low blue switch light to indicate that the plug is live from the mains.Easy Wall mounting too so plugs can be placed high so no constant bending down to pull and push plugs etc (that is also important to my wife!).Also powers the iPad and keeps the phone charged via the USB.Highly recommended.

Good looking extension
Great looking extension. There is a blue light though, which switches ALL the sockets on together, not separately, and this glows very bright in a darkened room. Not ideal if you prefer a blackout room to sleep.
