Easy Installation
I just installed this 3rd brake like. Durability is unknown? The light itself is a direct plug and play. It comes with a thick foam gasket. There isn't too much to this installation. I simply cleaned off the area with Goof off to revove the residual from the old gasket.I followed that up with rubbing alcohol. Take your time lining up the gasket on your light. I started on one side and peeled the backing paper as I applied it to make sure it was centered. I also used zip ties to secure all the wiring together so it doesn't get pinched or snag if I try to remove the light in the future.Personally, I like the looks. The cargo light works with the dash button. I simply have to test the brightness at night. I am pleased with it.

This 3rd brake light is Very easy to install and is very bright. All lights on my 2003 Silverado are now fully LEDs all around. Very happy with this purchase.

Nice product but!!
Very nice light assembly, fit perfectly. My only comment is it should come with a new gasket or at least warn people it doesn’t so they can plan to purchase one. The damn gasket is expensive too.

Great look, pretty bright.
The media could not be loaded. (UPDATE AFTER A YEAR)- The actual brake lights still work but the cargo lights are out which sucks, but if your not worried about them it’s still going strong!(when i first purchased)-It looks great compared to my stock old one. Easy install, only took me 10 minutes to screw the new one back in. Lights look great too, everything in working order.

Feels cheap but is of good quality. Had mine for a year with no problem and is very bright. However the included gasket is not sufficient to keep leaks out. Try to get the factory gasket.

Great Light - Plan the Installation
Purchase to upgrade lights and appearance of my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Pulling the old light off was fairly easy. Foam seal around the old light needs a little help breaking the light free. However, that's not the case for installing the new light. Yes, installing the light is straight forward. I did a test fit and tested the light assembly before installing it. However, one of the clips need to be squeezed together because it would not stay in place over the hole that was used by one of the mounting screws. The bigger pain was the foam seal (gasket) that comes with the light. I made the mistake of installing the seal/gasket on the light assembly, If I was to do it over I would recommend mounting on the body of the vehicle where the light will be attached. That way it makes it easier to line up the two screws used to attached the light to their mounting holes. The other thing you need to do is use the install rubber "O" rings over the screws after you put the screws in the light mounting holes. That helps with aligning the light into the opening in the roof panel where the light mounts. I mounted the gasket on the light. That's ok if you don't have to remove the light to get the screw body clip repositioned so you can tighten the light after installing it. Removing the light after first installing it is no fun. The adhesive on the foam is once installed it does not come off. Anyway, hope my comments help others.

OK but don't last long
When I first put this light on the truck it looked and worked great, although the cargo lights could have been brighter. For almost 2 years it was just right. Now, 2 years later it's faded like the factory one I replace after 14 years. I mean for the cost or if it's garage kept it probably would work great. But outside in the weather and sunlight it will fade and look old. The lights still work great, at least. Just the red is now orange with a haze on it. Could be better but, as I said for the price it's not a lifetime lasting light set.
