In all honesty though, yeah, this light works very well for my purposes. I don't need to mount it or anything because I use it to illuminate some standing to-do list cards on my desk, but the mount works perfectly as a stand for the light on my desk. The motion controls are fairly intuitive and easy to learn, as well as fairly reliably responsive. My only complaint is that the brightness capabilities seem to decrease as the battery gets lower (think low power mode on an iphone). Since I need the light at it's highest brightness level for illuminating my cards, it would be nice if the product only functioned when it has enough power for full operation. But, those are just my needs. This issue may not be much of a concern for people using it to illuminate their cutting board. So overall I say it's worth it!

I purchased this to put into my jewelry case but unfortunately I suck at measuring so it didn't work for my intended purpose but i found a few other uses for it, one thing i love is that it come with more then one magnetic base so I can mount it or use it in different areas, would work great for kids as a night light for going to the rest room, easy to turn on and the charge last a while.

This is a surprisingly good useful LED light. It is a great way to provide good amount of lighting where there is no electrical outlet. It provides several hours of light depending on the chosen brightness. The light color is white in the 4000K range, but the color temperature drops when dimmed (manually or when battery is low). The touch-sensitive switch is used for on/off function and for dimming when held. The dimming intensity is remembered for when the light is next turned on. The magnetic base holds the light bar well in horizontal position. The magnet also allows tilting for easy angle adjustment. The magnet is not as strong vertically and accidental jostling can detach the light bar making it fall to the floor. The detachable feature is convenient as this light can be easily used as a portable flashlight as well as to move it to another location. Indeed it comes with two magnetic bases for use in two different locations. The magnetic base comes with double-sided adhesive and can also be screw mounted. It can also be used plugged in, where available, but with one caveat: Don't keep it plugged in vertically. The magnet does not hold well vertically and the plug will be damaged if this light bar drops on it on a hard floor. They could have mitigated this by facing the USB plug facing under the bar body. It's a good cordless LED light bar with a good price.

I had a small space above the Garden Sink in the garage that was always dark. There are not outlets close to the sink of course so I needed battery operated. This light turned out the be perfect for the space length wise. I attached it to the cabinet about the sink. I really like that this light is directional. It mounts on a magnet base and swivels about 130 degrees on that base. Bonus is that it comes with two magnetic bases so you can have a second spot to use this light. The light took about 5 hours to charge completely after I received it. I've not yet had to recharge it,, but it is in a space where I will never need more thant 10 minutes of light at a time so the indicated 4 hours on high should be enough for my application. It does protrude about 2" from the bottom of the cabinet so is visible in my application if that is important to you.

We mounted this light so it would face down -- as shown in many of the marketing photos where the light is over a desk, etc. We followed all the directions about how to prep the surface, how long to press things to the adhesive, etc. Six months later, we hear a loud crash from another room. We discover the base (and light) fell off without warning. The sticky material was still attached to the surface -- it was the bond between the adhesive and the light's base that was the problem. This was really disappointing. The light itself was fine. Easy to turn on. Easy to pivot. Easy to recharge. But it was really scary to hear it crash to the floor without warning. I do NOT recommend using this over anything that would be harmed by it suddenly falling on top of it.

My RV didn’t come with a vanity light, just the overhead ceiling light. This light placed right at the top of the medicine cabinet mirror provides soft illumination that eliminates the shadows, and I only need to charge it once a week. I wouldn’t mind it being just a little bit brighter, but it really is just about perfect. I take it down before moving the RV, just to be safe, and when the RV is stored and not climate controlled, it gets about 90° inside and the adhesive is still standing strong. A red charging light turns off when charging is complete. This was such a handy purchase and it looks right at home with the decor.

If you look on the reviews, you'll see that I encountered the exact, same problems many others have, too. At first, the lighting is nice and bright, and it holds a charge very well and easily. Within a couple of weeks, both of those abilities go away. The LED lighting fades quickly and you are constantly having to charge it. I was actually hopeful there was some quality to these products that I bought three of them right off the bat. Sadly, they all failed. When I reported it to the seller, I was given a third-party company, and assured they would provide me with a refund. Instead, they addressed only a partial refund, but also after requiring that you go back and recharge everything and then film a video and send it to them for their "consideration". I tried to offer them the option of not having me write a negative review, but, alas, here I am! Very disappointing.

I have had a couple different under cabinet lights. This model is very easy to install and the brightness of the light on the brightest setting is decent for working on a countertop. I like the fact that is comes with two bases so the light can be moved. One touch control is also nice. I have them under the 4 areas in my kitchen under cabinets. They brighten up the kitchen work area nicely. Please keep in mind my video is taken in the daytime next to a kitchen window. So the brightness of the light cannot be seen as well as if it were at night. But it still helps even in the daytime.

Very bright, quick to charge and lasts a great amount of time. Approximately 8 hours of continuous use. The adhesive tape didn't hold long on the mount, maybe due to some moisture. Already ordered a 2nd one as they are perfect for the bbq area and also at the cabin.

The magnetic detachable light bar is a low-cost, multiple use LED option with endless applications. I bought it for downlighting under the new overhead kitchen cabinets to avoid expensive electrical work. The dimmer function is terrific, the unit is completely cordless and it is very easy to recharge, although LED’s are highly energy efficient and will not require much charging. Product comes with two self adhesive magnetic mounting strips - very handy to grab in a hurry for the pantry or even in a blackout. Will definitely be buying a couple more!

Overrall very happy with the light, brightness level is great and I like that it's easy to adjust how bright it is, the fade off is a nice touch. Only downside is the relatively low battery life, needs to be charged at least every other day or it's too dim to work well.

I needed a temporary lighting in my kitchen and it did the job perfectly until permanent solution was done. Easy to use, bright light and it lasts longer if you do not use continuously on. Great little gadget!

Quite bright. On off switch small but works well once you get the hang of it.
