I wish the spout was wider, but it gets ...
I wish the spout was wider, but it gets 4 stars because there is a spout on each side. The narrow spout requires controlled (slow) pouring. The pan itself is heavier weight than I was expecting for the price (a plus).

Heats evenly, spout makes pouring easy-breezy from either side
My mom would always complain that my American saucepans weren't easy for to pour chai - a staple in most Indian households when parents visit from India :-) So I searched Amazon and even though this saucepan is kind of pricey, I love it. It heats evenly and is great for making 2 - 3 cups of chai. The best part is how easy it is to pour the steaming hot chai into the strainer. The spouts on either side make it easy for both left- and right-handed folks to pour. The pan is also beautifully constructed. It has a nice heft to it, but isn't overly heavy and the handle is riveted onto the body which means there's no need to tighten screws.I must mention that the pan is very easy to clean up as well. I've had a friend burn soup in it and I myself have burnt the pan when I forgot to check in on heating leftovers. Both times, boiling lemon peels and baking soda in water did the trick and the pan was shiny and like-new without any stains. I highly recommend the pan. If good kitchen equipment gives you joy :) you won't regret the purchase.

Right size with pour spout and light weight
It turned out to be surprisingly hard to find a stainless steel saucepan of this size with a pour spout, which I use for gravy and sauces, so I was happy to discover the Sitram brand and this pan. You can even buy the 6.25 inch cover for it separately on amazon.com (which I did), though I would have been satisfied to have it without one. I can't agree with the reviewer below about the lid, it fits perfectly and even has a small vent, which I very much like having in general, though it's not needed for this particular pan, since the lid doesn't seal due to the pour spouts. In general, the best thing about Sitram is the very large range of available sizes and shapes, all of which have the right sized lid that can be bought separately (or not). Calphalon is another option at this price range and I like their clear lids, but they are much heavier which for me is a minus.

Handy little pot, and works with induction cooktop
I ordered this nifty little number for its pouring spouts and to use with my new induction cooktop.Pro:Convenient size for small jobsPour spouts for righties & leftiesThick base for even heatingGenerous slot in handle for hangingWorks great with induction!Cons:I haven't really found any, though I suppose the uninsulated handle would get hot if you put the pot in the oven. But so would an insulated one.I had also ordered a teakettle for use with the induction stove, but while waiting for that to arrive I used this pot to heat my water and decided to cancel the teakettle. At the 1800 watt setting, ten ounces of water in this pot boils in 90 seconds. I can wait 90 seconds tidying the kitchen. I'll be using this pot for my teawater instead of having another piece of equipment to maintain.I'll be ordering more Sitram in the near future.

Unique Wonderful Little Saucepan!
I've had and used daily this wonderful unpretentious little POUR SPOUT pot!!! Plus it has style and an airof having been used forever in the incredible country of its origin. And I must say regrettably I've burned mine (let the tea water out) more than once and the pot has always SURVIVED what would seem to be anintolerable insult! It always scrubbed up nicely, so it stays on my gas stove and never leaves! Yes, I have other heavier stainless pots of good quality but this one is SPECIAL!!! And with a nice lid which I supposeI paid for extra. Also have a Sitram fry pan with a very FLAT bottom which is also unique and SPECIAL!

Very convenient
Like the previous review, I mostly use this for making tea with milk. I wanted something that was easy to pour and easy to clean. This fits the bill. I was amazed at how much difference the spout makes -- it's much faster to pour and I haven't spilled anything since I got the pot. This pot is a little lighter than my other pots, but it heats quite evenly (though I've only used it for a few sauces and other precision tasks). For what it's worth, it seems very well constructed.

Might be too soon to review
I just received this today (I see the price has suddenly jumped almost twenty dollars, glad I got it for $43)and have used it only once, for heating milk. There's something very nice about it---I am primed tolike it. The spouts pour cleanly, the pot looks nice, there isn't the annoying interior rivet to clean around, the milk heated quickly, and the light weight is actually a relief compared to most of the pots andpans I've been getting lately. So far, so good.

No spills, easy pour
This saucepan eliminates spilling soups or other liquids when transferring contents to other bowls/pans due to the advantage of 2 pour spots. Easy pouring is the main feature that decided my purchase, along with my desire to purchase a quality stainless steel pan to add to my cookware. I also bought the matching lid to enhance its function. Easy clean up makes the pan a plus item. Arrival was quick and came in perfect condition.
