Very solid figure
This is a very solid release from storm collectibles. I am a bit new to the line, but I have managed to get all of the gears figures they had on offer, including the warden but excluding the Marcus variant as it is the exact same figure with a different look. I feel as though the human characters are nicely done, but people had some issues with the likenesses of the characters vs the figures. I feel the real reason behind that is that the face sculpts for Marcus and Cole were based on gears 5 (comparing pictures from that game and the sculpts is pretty spot on). Anyway, these figures still had other problems that kept them from being perfect. However, I can attest to the fact that most of these issues have been fixed with this release. The heads had a bit of a problem of being a little loose on the neck, which seems to be mostly gone with the locust Disciple. Cole had a problem with the toe bend being basically non-existent, but the disciple has no problem with this. The hand joints on nearly every other figure minus the warden had an issue where they seemed to come off too easily. Again, this is not the case with the disciple. The last real issue with the other figures were that the shoulder joints didn’t have as much range as one would expect from a storm collectibles figure. I can say that this figure has far superior range in the arms, despite having cables attached to them. This is likely due to this figure using the same “skeletal” structure as the warden instead of the basic cross design of the other gears figures. The helmet and goggles fit good on the head, the face sculpt is good, the paint and overall sculpt is also very good, and the accessories overall are very nice. However, no figure is perfect and neither is this one. With most of the other figures, the main issues were mostly in the joints/posing. However, this figure mostly has issues concerning accessories. The biggest problem is that the locust disciple is a beefier figure than the human characters. More specifically, the fingers, namely on the trigger hands, are very large. The weapons for the gears figures are notable in having trigger guards that can barely even accept the human characters fingers, so don’t get excited by thinking this guy is going to hold a lancer or shotgun, at least not very well. The problem is that the disciple doesn’t really hold his own weapons very well, with the exception of the boom-shot. The Boltok has such a short grip that he can barely hold it properly, while he can’t even get his finger in the long-shot’s trigger guard. Another less serious issue is that he has no gripping hands for a knife or grenade, but he still has gun supporting hands. This is more of a nitpick rather than an actual issue, but what is an actual issue are the cables. When I got mine, the cables on the left arm were disconnected from the back of the figure. While I fixed it with some glue and it works fine and looks fine now, it was something that I shouldn’t have had to do. While this may just be my particular figure, be wary. Even without defects, the wires stop certain poses, but only if you move the arms out in a way that wouldn’t be possible for a human(or locust) to do. The last gripe I have is one that I share with every storm figure I currently own; the weapons are made out of a semi-hard plastic that can still warp if it gets too hot, and they almost always come in at least a little warped. However, this is nothing a blow dryer won’t fix. Overall, I still think this is a highlight of the gears figures and the pros more than outdo the cons.

Highly detailed, well done.
This Storm Collectibles Locust is one of my favorite figures to date. Highly detailed, durable, and well designed. I also collect Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat lines of Storm Collectibles aside from Gears of War so I feel comfortable making the assessment by comparison.

Calidad de Storm Collectibles sin discusión
Definitivamente la calidad de Storm Collectibles no se discute. Muy buenas figuras, detalle apegado al video juego. Si recomiendo la inversión. Eso si, el precio es considerable.
