Best trainer for FPV racing drones
After getting pretty good indoors flying FPV with TBS Tiny Whoop Nano and EMAX TinyHawk II, I wanted to move outdoors. Any breeze at all is too much for these fine, fly-weight, tuny and nano drones to fly outdoors. So I tried EMAX Tiny Hawk Freestyle and BabyHawk. The BabyHawks are crazy powerful for beginners and the Freestyles are only a bit more tame, either is easy to overcontrol and neither is easy to keep on a suburban lot.The TinyHawk 2 Race is the perfect next drone and I've set the more powerful, too responsive BabyHawk and Freestyles aside for a while to practice with the TinyHawk 2. It's just the right mix of enough power enough to handle a little breeze and make it challenging, and with the EXPO set up a bit on my controller, it's been good and I"ve been able to fly off several sets of batteries without crashing or walk of shame to retrieve my drone.I'd recommend the TinyHawk II Race BNF for anybody with a FRSky radio that's working on their FPV skills. I believe we learn a lot more from repeated successes flying drones than from repeated crashes. The TH 2 R is not 'easy to fly', none of the unstabilized racing drones are, but it can be mastered quickly in Horizon mode, it's Acro mode is challenging, and I expect to be flying with Angle mode sooner or later. The TH2R works fine with my Fat Shark Attitude goggles, and also with the built-in FPV monitor on a TBS Tango radio.

Amazing and tough as hell
This thing is amazing. Truthfully I’m a little scared of it because of the power but I tuned my pid down for now. Nearly indestructible and I should know since I’ve hit everything there is to hit in my neighborhood park. Not for beginners but you can grow into it quickly

Great Drone
Great drone. Small, easy, versatile, fun to fly. Great intro to FPV flying. Don't have to be an expert, but if you are a veteran pilot this drone is still an excellent choice.

Binding only worked with both batteries plugged in.
Over all I give this kwad 4 stars, ONLY because I don't like the plugs for the batteries. Before I bought this kwad, I watched reviews on this thing. Drone camps review wasn't even finished before I bought the Emax Tinyhawk 2 race. Flys very well for my experience. Which is only 2 months in now. Very easy to fly on 1s. On 2s this thing absolutely rips in acro or air mode!Buying this kwad was a back up to fly while I figure out why my turbobee isn't working. I can definitely see myself buying more Emax products.

Never worked
Unfortunately the item came damaged. It was a gift for my husband and he’s been trying to get it programmed for a month and all the hobby shops he’s gone to can’t get it programmed. They’re saying the mother board isn’t working, but it’s NEW! Don’t waste your money!

Super smooth and quiet
Never had a bad emax experience and still haven’t. This little guy is amazing! Like the stronger vtx and the camera quality is crazy. How clear the image is makes it easy to hit tight gaps with this little guy.

Not as beginner-friendly as it appears
Bottom line up front: Proprietary flight controller mount and uncommon three-screw motor design sink this ship. This quad is, like, 99.9% of what the perfect beginner quad should be. 1-2s power to carry you to intermediate power levels, aggressive prop design, low weight, great runcam 2 video. The quad is simple to disassemble, repair, and reassemble. It is sporty, and can be either tamed down for indoor flight, or turned up for awesome outdoor flight. The 0.01% that stinks with this quad absolutely ruins it.The FC and motor mounting. The AIO that comes with the TH2 is nice. Emax believes it's $100 nice (the actual replacement cost!!).I'm not saying this was a malicious design choice, it could be for very good reasons, _but_ the FC does not use standard sized mount points. So if you need, or just want, to replace your FC, you are limited to either 3d printing an adapter (I have done this and the adapter design available online is very mediocre), or blowing a Benjamin on a new AIO. This limits your ability to repair and upgrade the quad.Motor Mounts:These are three-screw mount motors. I believe (check for yourself) only EMAX and BetaFPV make these kind of motors. So your motor options are absolutely abysmal. It feels like this is another move to keep you buying EMAX parts. Oh, and they charge a flat $20 for those motors on Amazon. Each.To replace both FC and four motors would run you a cool $180- more than the cost of the drone. To me, that's suspicious at best, and infuriating when you actually want to fix your cool EMAX racer, only to find out you're getting lightly scammed. To put the cherry on top, the above gripes also mean that your TH2 parts won't be interchangeable with any other non-TH drones you have, unless you have exactly a 65/75mm betafpv, and even then it's only motors you could swap. One more bone to pick, the FrSky rx and VTX antennas are both in grave danger of getting chopped up by the props, and must be secured by the user before any real flying. Yuck. The FrSky range sucks, as well, but that's kind of to be expected. I have rssi tuned my radio model correctly.Stay away. For the flier with deep pockets who specifically wants to try out the TH2 Freestyle or Race, go for it. It's fun. Might make a good gift for a pilot's first drone, since no soldering is required to replace a motor, and you can find these on getfpv and rdq with a gift card rebate. Not a good gift for young kids, you could seriously hurt people or property with this drone.

This thing rips
This thing is very fast for its size. Plenty of punch on 2s. Tons of fun in small areas where my larger quads struggle. Make sure you get extra batteries!
