Umbra Cappa Curtain Rod, Includes 2 Matching Finials, Brackets & Hardware, 120 to 180-Inches, Black

I did not have any scratches as others have stated in their reviews. I also open and close my curtains everyday and have not received any scratches. Because of the reviews, I do make sure I am softer just in case. I love this curtain rod. It is a complete statement piece in my nursery. People immediately ask about my curtains which POP from the curtain rod accenting.

First, I was amazed when I received this shipment. This was not your usual carefree Amazon packing approach, with a small item rattling around in a box with a token air pillow! Double boxed in two appropriately sized, sturdy. long boxes, smaller box inside for hardware protected by tissue. The rods were also heavy and good quality, smooth fitting. Must have been directly from the company, more like a high end product in packaging and details. All in all a welcome surprize.

I always like to start off with the pros of an item so ill do that first. It's pretty simple and to the point. It is a very sturdy rod. It looks expensive. Perfect size and rod for the look I was going for.As far as the cons go, ill say you are given three rods . There are two main rods and one extender obviously, which I barely needed. The two main rods you actually use/see are two completely different shades of gold. One is more of a light matte (almost) finish gold and the other one is a brighter yellow gold. It isn't too difficult to disguise if you have a smaller/darker room like I do. Plus I live in an apartment so the large window I do have is off center. With that being said, I can put the shade I (less) prefer on the side most people don't see and its not that noticeable... Plus, with the curtains on there its not that much gold exposed. I'm pretty picky with decor and esthetics - but I decided it wasn't THAT big of a deal to return honestly considering what this item is... The ceiling gets a better look at this than I do let's get real haha. Second I will say this scratches VERY easily. It already had several scratches on it upon arrival and when it scratches, it shows black markings so it is VERY noticeable. Once again, not something I was concerned about ONLY because this is a curtain rod AND it was so cheap. It wasn't worth my time to repackage and spend money on gas to go return to attempt to purchase a similar item to potentially go through this again. And I mean shoot, if you are really picky, get your DIY skills to work and refinish the piece when needed. Cause I can guarantee when you remove the rod for moving/etc, its going to be inevitable of normal wear and tear anyways. So all in all I would recommend this product for the price you pay. You cant beat it and if anything its an easy fix.

Love the color and very sturdy I have large windows and heavy curtains. This rod does not bend as long as you drill Into stud. Love it!! Have 3

No issues at all. Ordered the 120 to 180 inch size (our window is 153") in the nickel color. Looks great, installed easily, and it came with three strong brackets (also nickel in color) that look exactly like the brackets that are shown in the product info. My uploaded photo shows the center bracket and it also shows the two "joins" where the smaller center rod slides into the two end rods. The set screw in the center bracket prevents the center rod from sliding whenever we move the curtains.

I love how the rods look—definitely worth the price. They are sturdy and don’t appear cheap or flimsy in any way. The only downside was that the the anchors for the brackets were difficult to install in my wall. I have plaster walls and the anchors just crumbled the wall around them, then ripped out with a slight tug on the bracket. Not really an issue with the product itself, but annoying. I ended up going to home depot and getting larger, heavy duty anchors and that worked well.

I bought these in several lengths. The short work just fine but when you go into the longer lengths they don't have anything to keep them from coming apart so when you slide your curtain they just fall down if you aren’t careful. The short ones are fine though.

The bar is beautiful and perfect!!! So happy with how sturdy it is!!!! Love it!!!

The media could not be loaded.  I saw many of the reviews before I choose the curtain rob. Some products made by poor material. So I was a little bit scary to order.Finally, I choose this nice gold curtain rob and check the video that I did when I get the products.You can hear the sound. It says it's pretty strong and thick material :) I'm so happy with it. I’ll put this at my salon. I’ll update pics after install it. Highly recommend it!!

The connection is so baggy it looks horrible and cheap, I took a photo of the connection on my ikea curtain rod to show as a comparison. Why is ikea able to make a tight connection between the two pieces but this curtain rod which is 3 times the price has a loose fitting connection? This loose connection creates a sagging effect.I can’t believe no other reviews mention this and it has such a high rating. This makes it look so cheap. I would not have ordered if other reviews had stated this. I will be returning.

When one orders an item to use at the length that is described, one would expect the parts to come with it so that it will work If you purchase the rod to use for the full length it won't even hold up the curtains as the rods droop. You have to purchase another set of curtain rod hangers so that it keeps the pole straight and then you can't slide the curtains as the extra rods are in place so I never can open my curtains right up........

If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would.My particular installation required four mounting brackets instead of the three normally included with the curtain rod. Even though I had offered UMBRA to send them $20 for an extra mounting bracket, they were very kind to send me, not one, but two mounting brackets, completely free of charge.I’ll buy their products anytime.

I am totally obsessed with Umbra Cappa curtain rods. I ended up exchanging for the double rod in black, but they are so modern and elegant looking and much nicer than the clunky ones I previously had. I have a set of these in gold, and two in black and I could not love them more. They are perfect for holding both my regular and blackout curtains at once. Exactly what I wanted, and I've even convinced some friends and family to switch out theirs for these! They were easy to install, are sturdy but also not heavy. I did use my own screws, but I highly recommend these!
