I have a love-hate relationship with this device--I love the concept, but hate the amount of work that I'm going to have to put into it. I have thousands and thousands of pictures of my family on multiple devices (mac, pc, backup hard drives, phones).First hurdle, get everything on a hard drive the pc can read. Second hurdle, the time it takes to copy files from devices to hard drive to LAMU device. Third hurdle, facial recognition is AWFUL and having to go through EVERY SINGLE PHOTO and assign EVERY SINGLE FACE to a profile (this is the main reason I'm giving it 3 stars). Also, the de-duping function is hit or miss; it de-dupes some multiple images and keeps copies of others.I completed a transfer from start to finish with 2,000 images as a test run. It took me a whole weekend just to do that set-- LITERALLY, 2 straight days from sun up to sun down. It has sat on the corner of my desk, untouched, ever since. I really have to back up and create a management solution for my families images, but I ain't got time for all that!Granted, I may be the exception given the number of images I'm dealing with. If someone is looking for a storage option from the get-go or has a much smaller collection, this would be a super option and I would highly recommend it. If you buy the 2tb option because you have THAT MANY pics, buy it knowing you have a TON of work ahead of you.

Amazing photo organizer! I have tons of photos on my phone and with the large storage space there I just let them pile up over 3 years... I decided to try this photo organizer and sort them out a little bit so that I can find what I need... I was amazed and happily surprised by how helpful it actually is. It can filter/sort by using facial recognition of different people (I can even combine and select group photos), by using photo locations, by date, by special days like anniversaries and birthdays, etc. With all the filters and sorting tools it's actually like online shopping when I'm browsing and selecting photos -- easy, fast and convenient. It's super easy to load and use as well and the setup was effortless, just plug in the USB drive and run the application. I like how I can precisely find the exact photo I need through thousands of photos, and browsing photos is more fun than ever! Highly recommend!

This is a GREAT asset for anyone who has a lot of photos on different computers ... it gathers all of the photos with no duplicates and they are all searchable by person- place - date! It’s great!!! I used this organizer to take photos off of three different computers ...it organized and did not duplicate any that i had saved multiple times. Customer service is best I have ever seen! I wholeheartedly recommend this product!!

I had to update my computer for this program to work. I didnt have Microsoft .Net high enough for installation. I had to update 145 files from Windows update LOL. I tell you this because it was a good thing that it checked for me and I found out my computer wasn’t updated since 2019.As for the program, it installed very smooth no errors and immediately I had it search for pictures and videos. I have had a digital camera since they first came out so I know it will take a bit to find them all. So it’s been 16 hours and its 3/4 done and so far found over 93k files to transfer!!!Love it

I could not find the drive where my pictures were after the first download and I emailed customer service at 9pm. I was not expecting an answer until the next day. Within 30 minutes, they answered with various alternatives and within minutes I was downloading my pics again. They even realized that I did not download the new manual with the update I did because I had the old one open, so they attached to the email a copy of the new one for me. This is above and beyond fabulous customer service. They were checking everything thoroughly from their end and put me up to day at that hour at night. I am super pleased. I have the confidence that if anything goes wrong, they will be there to fix it. The product is working great and this is the first time I have been able to organize my pictures in such an efficient way. I even found pictures, in the timeline, I forgot I had. I do scrap booking and this is a wonderful way of going back and printing pictures and doing new scrap booking pages for my kids. I even found pictures of their great grandparents! How cool is that! Get this, I am even leaving in my will who is getting the LAMU Portable Photo Organizer when I pass away. I know that my son can continue to put his past and future memories next to mine. The enjoyment of our great memories can continue for more generations.I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to organize their pictures and preserve precious past and future memories.

Bought the produce and boy does it work. We have several years of digital memories and wanted to make copies for family members when done.Point the system to your file and let it do the work. Large files take a long time with all the work the program is doing. I had smaller files on CD’s that ran much faster, but backup files with several thousand photos ran all night.I needed help with an issue I caused and contacted LAMU directly. This response was fantastic. They worked with me to solve the problem and even followed up to make sure my mistake was corrected.I talked with one of the funders and he said as part of their mission statement, “most importantly we want to make sure everyone who uses our product is happy”. Simple but so true in today’s marketplace.I highly recommend the and my comments help you to decide on making your purchase.
