Porter Cable Air Compressor Replacement MANIFOLD # A16181

Replacement was exact and worked as it should.

I've been using it in light duty for about a month now and seems to be working well. Was very easy to install on my 15 gallon Craftsman. Funny story - my only other compressor was a Harbor Freight - which meant I actually never had a working output pressure adjustment! Imagine my excitement to be able to control the output pressure. I said to myself - dang - so that is how they are supposed to work. :-)

The valve worked as it should , it cured one of two problems . Initially I thought the leaking manifold valve was the cause of my compressor not turning off after building pressure but it was the air pressure limit valve, and after replacing that the compressor works great. This valve is under motor cover and connected by a small hose which connects to manifold valve .

My compressor was constantly running, it never built up enough air to shut off. You could hear and feel air coming from the valve. I figured it would be best, if I replace the valve versus purchasing another compressor due to overworking the motor, which was inevitable. Once I installed the new valve, it was just like new again.

I like this manifold,used it for my craftsman. Easy ti install.

Exactly what I needed. Well, actually MUCH MORE than what I needed. The only part of this that's going to fail is the regulator screw, since that's the only moving part. It's silly to sell it as a set with the other parts, that are just plain metal and are not going to wear out. Seems predatory, but this is the only way I could find the exact regulator part I needed. Would be a 5-star rating if it were just the part I need, which probably costs $1, but instead I have to buy a $50 assembly.
