One of the top-selling Cymbidium hybrids of all time, Cymbidium Sarah Jean ‘Ice Cascade’ has everything you’d want in an orchid that will easily take center stage in any collection. It is very easy to grow, and easy to bloom, with blooming season generally in late winter or early spring. Its gracefully arching flower spikes bear numerous mildly fragrant blooms that start off a whitish-yellow color and gradually become almost pure white as the blooms mature. A large plant will make multiple flower spikes (sometimes with two flower spikes per bulb!) with blooms lasting around a month. As a miniature Cymbidium, ‘Ice Cascade’ does not take up a lot of growing space, and with its pendulous, cascading flower spikes, is perfect as a hanging specimen. You can grow this beautiful orchid in nearly all reasonable growing conditions (although avoid freezing temperatures and water frequently in temperatures in the 90s F). Fertilize with a balanced plant food every other watering. Near Blooming Size (NBS) plants are 12- 18 months from reaching blooming size, and will be shipped in a 3.5-inch square pot with potting media (orchid bark). Please note that in order to save you on shipping costs, Blooming Size (BS) plants will be shipped bare root (roots wrapped in moist material) as shipping wet potting media will cost nearly as much as the plant itself (it is actually much cheaper for you to purchase a pot and media separately). Cymbidium Sarah Jean ‘Ice Cascade’ is one of the most impressive – and popular – Cymbidium orchids ever, and elevates any orchid collection. It would make an excellent gift for an orchid beginner, a long-time orchid grower, or that special orchid person in your life: you!

Beautiful! a little dry, and some dead canes.
The plants are generally healthy and seem pest free, a little yellowed and thirsty from the long distance travel but packed very nicely (no packing peanuts — thank goodness— just strips of newspaper, a bamboo stick and tape to protect them in the long cardboard box. One plant had a flower spike and the other did not; I’m grateful for the one. The star I deducted is for the dead canes that were in the middle of the one that did not have flower spikes. There are about 3 large black very dried and dead canes in the middle of the pot. The surrounding plant is healthy. I gifted that plant so I cannot ask for exchange even if that was an option. Considering I can’t find this variety anywhere else, I am pleased with this purchase.

Great plant & Great sellers
This plant is absolutely beautiful and is huge couldn't ask for a better plant. The thing that impressed me most was the seller's awareness of the area of where I live they knew we were in the middle of a artic vortex and that the temperature in my part of Ohio was in the low teens with wind chills minus 20. They held off shipping the plant until it got warmer here so I had a better chance of recieving a live plant. Will definitely buy from them again and reccomend you do too.

Thriving.
The package arrived 2 days before it was promised, which probably made the plant happy. Once out of it's box, we watered it and put it in a larger pot. We're giving it rain water and it is thriving. We look forward to blooms, next year.As per damage, about 1/4" of the tip of one leaf was brown, but this has not gotten worse, and, as I said, it is thriving.

Thought I would try to give it new orchid bark and make it happy but I noticed another leaf is turning yellow
Received the plant promptly but with black tip of one leaf and llight yellow spots on two others. The roots were in dark color too. Thought I would try to give it new orchid bark and make it happy but I noticed another leaf is turning yellow. It's been about twenty days with me. Feeling pretty sad about this one. I also ordered the yellow flower species, which came healthy and is doing great.

Packing was good but needless to say orchid was very dry and ...
Very healthy, at first I was worried. It took 8 days in USPS (not the sellers fault) when it finally arrived. Packing was good but needless to say orchid was very dry and wilted. It had some leaf damage so I immediately went to work. I put it in a quart of water with 1 drop of Superthrive and 2 drops of Shultz. Within just a couple hours the orchid sprang back! See picture with orchid on dresser that was after 2 days by day 4 I have it by it's new home
