I had no issues with this product so far.
I did not need a special tool to hook up this cable to the coaxial outlet or to the cable modem. I purchased this because my old coaxial cable broke as I unplugged it from the old modem because I had to do a switch because the old modem needed changing. I'm using this for indoors, so I don't know if it works as well for the outdoors. I get the full speeds I am regularly supposed to get through my internet. Nothing has changed or has gotten worse. I have used it for one month, and so far so good. There was some slight resistance going into the outlet. You might need a bit of finger strength. I made sure to put it in as straight as possible when I started to finger tighten it. I don't know if it would help to use a little wrench.

Doesn't seem to negatively affect signal
I bought this as an extension cable for a TV antenna. I had a good signal both before and after I attached this cable so that speaks to its quality. Also, the fittings are good and I had no problem attaching them to a connector and the antenna. The "double-shielded" is a good thing---it keeps out interference from other equipment like phones, etc.
