Poor stitching
Returned and bought the helikon Tex Matilda pack it has solid stitching. The aquaquest tore before I could get it out in the field.

excellent
I was already familiar with the Aqua Quest family of products and owned a smaller backpack for myself. I personally, use mine for a "go-bag" for emergencies. We live in an area that gets the late fall and early spring thunderstorms that bring tornadoes and large hail. I need a bag that will withstand that sort of thing and have all the necessities needed to carry on in life after a disaster. When we saw this bag, my husband expressed an interest in wanting the camo bag. He was not disappointed when it arrived, It is large and roomy and holds seemingly everything you would need for a trip. He can carry it full too. I don't know how, because I cannot lift the thing full. It is BIIIIG. Smaller pockets for this and that, though I wish it had some extra inner sections and pockets because if you pack small items, it really is a bear trying to find them after they have fallen to the bottom of the bag. Good back support, excellent stitching, very well made. Of course waterproof. Have not had a day to test that portion because all we have had are sunny play days.Overall ... would totally buy from this brand again. Very well made.

Tough and well designed.
This isn't what I expected. For some reason I was expecting a survival type bag with tons of little compartments, but this bag has one large compartment and a smaller one on the outside. There is a water bottle sleeve on each side. In use it packs more like a duffel bag, with everything going into the one main compartment, but then it carries like a back pack. The material is tough, and well coated to be waterproof. This will keep your gear dry. They mention that it will fit the criteria for a carry on if you don't over stuff it. I could see myself traveling with this. I will buy another one for that. The one I just got is camo, and some countries don't really like camo too much. This bag has ample room, is very tough, and waterproof. It will be with you for a while, so pick a color you like.

Waterproof to a point
This is basically a duffle bag with backpack straps. There is an small zippered compartment on the inside and one on the outside. There is also 2 side bottle holders (one on each side).I wouldn't call it waterproof because the top has no zipper or seal so even if it is snapped down water will get in if it falls overboard into a river or lake. It is definitely made of quality material to be rainproof but I do wish the top had a zippered closure with rubber liner/gasket to minimize any water entry.

A nice pack.
My first impression of the bag was overall good !. It is of very rugged material and seems quality made. My only gripe are the straps , they seem a bit lack luster and are not very thick or kushy as you would see on some other bags at this price point and I would of liked to see a little more thought go into the design of the shoulder straps and how they attach toThe bag, that being said they still seem well made. I tested the bag in fundy national park with roughly 20lbs of gear and the bag was very comfortable. The bag is a great size once rolled open you realize you can fit quite a bit of stuff , amongst my gear i had two camping tripod stools that are about two feet long tucked down both sides and there was still plenty of room until the top of the bag. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and am excited to see what other quality pieces of gear aqua quest comes out with !

Itโs great for snowy ski trips too!!!Iโm very happy with this purchase. High quality durable material. My small aqua quest pack has kept things dry on my paddle board for years. This big version will be great for overnight trips. Also perfect for keeping clothes and bedding dry on ski trips. Love it!!!
