These are bright, you don't want to look directly at them when they are on. So don't point your torch at someone's face.This turned a rather feeble torch into a very useful one. Note 3W is the same rating as the bulb that came out so the bateries won't last longer (use a lower rated bulb if you want that) but you get a lot more light for the same lifetime.*** NOTE *** The light is directed forward, not out all round like a filament bulb. this is both good and bad.GOOD if you wanta nice even light for looking at nearby things, not patchy as you get of most torch reflectors. Also as does not use the reflector does not matter if it has lost its shine.BAD if you want the beam you get from the refelctor to look at things far away. Also not suitable for use in something like a lantern that shines out light sideways in all directions.

Bought these for my 30 year old mag lite they are much brighter than the originals seem first impression is that they are really good

I bought this for. Ryobi one plus torch it was a cheap LED bulb but gives good light, it is 25 Lux less than the halogen one but is hardly noticeable as can be seen, they both give a good spread, however the LED bulb will allow the torch to run for significantly longer without getting hot,All in all good value for money and nice and bright

Put in a Clulite (if that means anything to you) which runs of 6v lead acid battery -much brighter than original bulb. Goes straight in, works great, gives same coverage as original bulb (bright focused beam in centre with flood round edge).

Brilliant light, made my torch 100% better.
