Chicago Snow Globe - 65mm - Skyline - Silver Pewter Look

One of my close friends loves to collect snowglobes and is currently on the hunt for one from each major city in the United States. I saw this as a perfect Christmas gift for her, so I ordered it.Pros:The Willis tower and general color scheme feels very "Chicago" - if you're familiar with the city, then you know that downtown Chicago has a specific feel near Millenium Park/Wacker looking toward the inner city.It's quite cute since it's so small. I love the feel of it in my hand.Cons:However, the edges of the base are somewhat rough and it feels like the text stamped into the pewter base is less than stellar quality.The "snow" inside seems a little light in color and is already starting to fade after just 4 months.I'm not sure I can completely recommend this as a great gift, but it does look alright from about 6+ feet, so take that for what it's worth. Might be a good gift to keep in a display cabinet but certainly not where people can get up close and personal with it.

Some of the details within the piece are off and the item is not quite the one they advertise. The glass itself on the snow globe is scratched up.
