Kitty Mansions Honolulu Cat Tree

I love this cat tree, and even better, my crazy kitten loves it too. It has definitely quieted down her climbing the door frames. The colors are great and it is even a pretty feature in my living room.Now to facts:1) it is very sturdy. I was worried that my crazy cat would make it wobble when she climbed it, but honestly it barely even moves. It is very sturdy and does not need extra support.2) Other reviews said it was difficult to put together, but I think it took me about an hour, and I was taking my time. Instructions were pretty simple to follow and the picture that came along with it helped. Just take your time and separate everything before you start.3) The carpeting is kinda slick, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for my cats.4) The vines do fall apart kind of easy, but I still put them up and my cats still played with them and loved them. It does make it look more natural too.5) It did have a MILD chemical like smell to it, but that went away in a couple days.6) One of the cons: it comes looking exactly like the amazon picture, but the instruction picture looks slightly different and shows the very top platform with a hole in the floor so the cats can climb up through it to the platform. So, the tree you buy does not have this hole in the top platform which actually makes it a little difficult for the cats to climb up over the ledge to the top platform and also makes it a very high jump down to the floor because the platform overhangs the rest of the tree slightly. They still seem to do it fairly well.So, that's about all my feelings in a nutshell. If I could wish for anything else it would be that my cats would climb on it more! Enjoy!

Large box arrived with some damage, but contents were undamaged. The plastic bags containing the screws had torn, so everything was loose inside. Also, the moisture packets had broken, and that material was everywhere and had to be vacuumed up (it's toxic). The design of the cat tree itself needed some improvement. The back, round bed on the short post was right up against the back shelf, and blocked any way up to the main top level. The main top level is the same size as the bottom main level (not smaller or indented or with a cutout) so neither cat could figure out how to get up to it, even after we put them up there. The fix was to bolt on a piece of wood, using the existing holes, and move/attach the back, round bed to the front, hanging out several inches. Once the cats were up on that, they could see up onto the main top level, and then went up there. Not sure if everyone would be able to make that fix. But once it was altered in that way, it was perfect. It fits in well with the room décor, and the blue/beige/dark brown design is vastly better than the standard all-beige carpet one usually sees in cat trees.

This is a very tall tree for the money, several beds and lots of platforms. I have high windows and this goes high enough my cats can sit on the upper levels and look out. It's a little wobbly, expected for the value, however it so far seems fine with my 3 10+ lb cats-will update in a few months if there are any changes.Instructions are not very helpful, you'd think the least they could do was print out a color instruction manual rather than the black-and-white photocopied slideshow showing it being put together. By looking at the picture though I was able to figure it out well enough and have it constructed in about 20-30 minutes. It came with these green leaves but I threw them away, looked too easy for cats to get tangled up in them-plus my cats have a tendency to eat (even fake) leaves.So, a couple downsides. But overall it's a great cat tree and is a great size for the amount of money. I would recommend it.

This cat tree is pleasant to look at, sturdy, and of course the cats love it! They can climb and play like wild pumas or each relax in their own separate space. We have three active young cats and two young children and so far no one has knocked it over. It took about a half hour to put together - it wasn't incredibly easy but not too difficult either. Feels like something that will last for years. The leaves are a bit superfluous, but you don't even have to put them on if you don't want to.The only caveat is is you have a less mobile cat the highest level (with the covered inside and the highest circular bed) will be difficult for them to get to, as there is no obvious ladder or opening to get there, they have to climb up and down from there on the outside edges. But our younger cats have no problem and one of them is always sleeping in that highest spot. Overall we are very happy with this purchase!

On the back of this is nice rounded steps that the cat could use to go up and down if they would design it so they could be at the front this would be perfect. I have it sideways for my kitty to go up and down. The carpet is the best I've seen. My little guy is about 8 lbs of sheer destruction so that fake ivy lasted 5 minutes. But he had fun. The rope inside pulled out but he was really tugging on it. He wanted it bad. I can glue it in with gorilla glue and maybe it will stay. But he just loves the ball and rubbing on the carpet. I find it to be very well made. Solid, so far no tipping issues.

Got this tree for my older cat since she loves to be up high. I specifically wanted her to be able to get to the highest level. There is absolutely no easy way for her to get up there, let alone get down. The design for it was not well thought out. She loves the lower platforms, but they need to rethink maybe putting a hole at the bottom of the highest levels. Do not get it If you're interested in the top level. Otherwise it was a great price for the rest of the tree.
