Out with the old in with the New
After reading all the reviews I'm really nervous about my tent. My husband, daughter and I had a awful time trying to set this up yesterday just to check it out before our camping trip this weekend. The directions like everyone says are wrong! My husbamd gave up. Lol! He doesnt like camping, my daughter and I usually go by ourselves. The return window is this weekend though and I really hope I'm not going to get ripped off or amazon will hear from me a lot this month.. I'll get back to you on how this goes.. Update: The tent wasn't bad at all to set up and we just loved it. It was big and spacious everything we had ever dreamed of. I was so impressed and proud of my purchase at first. 2nd: But, then it started ripping little by little at stressed points during the weekend down the seams, or where we had put the stakes I was so disappointed, Sunday Morning I wrote to Amazon 1 day late on the return window and had no problems returning it for a full refund thank goodness!!

Awesome First Tent
Went camping on my first family trip, and this was the best bang for buck tent. Plenty of room and was decently easy to assemble. My only complaint is the stakes they send with the tent are flimsy. But other then that would recommend.!

Missing pieces
Was missing a couple clips for the poles so i made some out of cotter pins but the tent itself is awesome.

Not the best quality
The quality of this tent isn't all that great. 2 of the straps for the stakes ripped apart from the tent on it's first use. Overall the tent seems to be OK, but I would buy something else instead. Not sure how they size the number of people for this tent but it is only a 6 person tent if the 6 people are young teenagers. There is no way this will sleep 6 adults. It barely fits a queen size air mattress. The front "porch" though is nice. It's made entirely of mesh and the rain fly does cover it. Good spot for putting things like a cooler or shoes.there is an opening for brining in and extension cord which is also a nice feature. Ventilation is nice with the number of mesh windows. If this actually would sleep 6 adults and the tent straps held up I would have kept it, but in the end returned it for a refund.Overall I would skip this tent and look for a different brand.

Great purchase!
The instructions that came with were not for this tent so you save you trouble, the extra pole is for the rain fly point to point under the rain fly and above the tent. We love the porch feature. The 6 man was perfect for a queen sized inflatable mattress and room for clothes/bags. I am 5’9” and husband 6 feet and could stand up in center. Kept our hiking boots in the porch area with throw rug on porch-tent stays clean. All components fit in carry bag that came with. Tent stakes are cheap and should be replaced. Great tent design, quality seems fine, and oh by the way, it’s pretty!

Disappointed
Nice big tent. Cheap! Ripped first use. Directions were not clear. Missing one pole out of 5 as Directions say.

Low quality materials
Used the tent for the first time, and it went through thunder storms the first night. One stake ring tore off during set up. The ring for the poles to connect to ripped off the next morning. The front porch filled with rain given the mesh netting. Some water leaked in through the mesh netting at the top part of the tent. Overall, it held up well in the wind with minimal leaking. If I had to pick a tent again, it wouldn’t be this one

Great value and design!
So reading reviews yes, the screened porch will flood. But unless it rains 2 inches you will just have a puddle to clean up. I used a sponge, pretty heavy rain and no leaks inside. I love the screen room, pleasant place to sit and the double entry means no bugs in the tent! The stakes are a joke, toss them and buy some decent ones. The rain fly is a wonder, completely keeps you dry and unlike other tents it has an awning over the windows so that you can see out, in the Pacific Northwest where I live and camp there is always a chance of showers in the mountains. so a decent rain fly is a must, but so many tents have huge beautiful window but they get covered over with the rain fly, I wish the tent had aluminum poles because fiberglass don’t last as long. So buy two or three of this tent! I was afraid in a few years I couldn’t find an exact replacement so I bought two. Costs that much less and has a better design than tents costing 4-6 hundred dollars! Easy to set up, I’m a 65 year old female and have put it up with no help in about 10 minutes if that. It does fit back into the bag ( with a little work ). I am a fair weather camper for the most part but if you are worried about the screen room, tarp over it! Good size family of four would be comfy but six, not so much but it is larger than most 6 man tents.

So far so good
I'm happy with this tent. Yes there is a front section that is not protected from rain but I knew that. Thank you Muskoka M for your feedback. I have a friend who has this model so I knew a little bit what to expect. I have a tarp, I'll make something work.I didn't read the instructions so the roof cover was a bit tricky. The shortest pole hooks in two places in the cover, then that forms the two gables on each side of the tent. Now I know. The rest was simple. It's the perfect size, there is a hook on the ceiling for a light, pouches for valuables, plenty of windows. It's very light for transport and compact. There were no parts missing, not a single rip. And local stores charge prices that bring me back to Amazon every time.I'm very happy. Can't wait to go camping.

Warning, may or may not come torn—-buy at own risk
Ripped seams found as soon as I opened the box.Once assembled theres a tear in screen of the roof that I will need to mend as well as a pole clip that was only partially stitched.3 rips right from the factory. I’d be comfortable having paid $160 for this product. Overpriced for its quality.

Great value
I read all the reviews and considered the pros and cons of this tent before buying; some fair and not so fair comments by others.. I wanted a slightly larger tent but also a screen porch because I am in black fly and mosquito land! Hence selecting this tent.Pros- it is a perfect sized tent for me and quite a lot of space; I like the color and it looks great (porch adjustment was tricky but am hoping it needs a little working in); it packs fairly small considering; screen room is roomier than expected; the price was totally right at half the price of similar other tents; it withstood a massive storm with funnel clouds touching down not far away (I was actually surprised not even a peg moved with the swirling tornado like winds at my property); I like the electrical outlet pocket; it stayed mostly dry in a huge rain storm (more below).Cons- like others said, it is peculiar there is only four peg loops on the tent body, in needs three more to actually stake it out as it should be. Also, an added loop at the entrance to the screen porch would not only secure it better, but make is possible to unzip with one hand and not holding it down with your foot. INSTRUCTIONS, obviously wrong as every other person said (this is why you always practice setting your tent up before a trip- and I did it myself despite it saying you have to have two or more people. Easy, no. Possible, yes). The other obvious and perplexing design choice, the lack of rain flaps on the porch- it's just stupid not to have them. Having said that, I knew it before buying. If you leave it uncovered and have a torrential storm and the ground is even remotely uneven, it will fill with water- and when it does, water needs to find a place to go, so it goes through the tent seams into the tent. I put my free soldier tarp up in a porch configuration the next day and problem solved, dry screen porch, It didn't let a drop in during tornado conditions the following day. It did leak at one seam during a massive down pour (it was A LOT of water) but I seam seal new tents anyway so when that is complete I wouldn't worry.I gave if four stars because the stupidity of not enough peg loops on the tent body , no rain flaps on the porch and the wrong instructions warrants a star reduction.Overall, I am extremely pleased., it's a stellar deal and a good looking tent!UPDATE: July 2021I recently returned from a week long northern trip that was rain, rain and yet more rain. Temps ranged from a humid 36 down to 10 and only one day saw no rain at all. My tarp set up over the porch worked amazing. I completed seam sealing prior along the main seam. Not a single drop of rain inside the tent. So much rain meant SO MANY bugs, having the porch was invaluable and the added space was glorious. My watch dog enjoyed stalking the chipmunks from a bug free zone! I was grateful for the space and the screen porch on a sometimes difficult trip.
