I backpacked through Patagonia for about 7 months and this gadget helped me keep my phone on me at all time with the confidence of not losing it nor breaking it. I would use it strapped to my backpack to keep my phone accessible and secure. I would use it during boat rides to take videos and pictures without the fear of dropping and losing my phone. I recently gifted one to my brother who uses it for hunting and work as he seems to drop and lose his phone A LOT!I also recently used it while snorkeling. I strapped in my phone with a waterproof case and then clipped it onto my swimsuit. It worked perfectly. After all the use it's still in great condition.

Has fit around multiple phones from everything to kayak fishing to duck hunting. Great thing to have on hand if you are around the water and will be using your phone at all.

The coil is strong and is probably perfect for people who clip it to their belt or similar situations.I clip it into my ski jacket pocket and the coil is too bulky for comfort.It grabs the phone very well and doesn’t let it slip off. And the case itself is not bulky. So I highly recommend it.

Got this to keep my phone safe while kayak fishing. I have use it several times and has been durable and functions the way it should. Installation is easy.

*** Important: This review is based on the product securing your phone. This is NOT a waterproof case. Your phone should have some water rating if you use this product. ***This is an important product if you plan to use your phone on the water. Specifically I use this when I'm fishing on my kayak and clipped to my PFD.I note this, because this may not be practical to use on a SUP (stand up paddle) board where you may not have somewhere to clip this on your person. I can see this if you clip this directly clip this to your board, but more susceptible to water exposure. Be mindful of this. I also use this to clip to my waders when I'm fly fishing, which requires a lot of hiking and wading in water. Because I primarily catch and release and easy access to my phone this product has been incredibly useful.I use a case on my iPhone and this product easily secures my phone and does not obscure both the front and back camera lenses. Depending on your case, this may fit tighter for larger cases. The materials seem durable, including the silicon strapping and tether. I have not gone through a full season and determined the durability season over season. I also have not used this product in colder/freezing months. Of course this review will be updated if exposure becomes an issue.Overall, this product works and is a decent value. I would recommend.

I used the lanyard when traveling to a foreign country, and not with general use. This is by far my favorite phone holder.
