I love the fact that you can actually tune this ukulele!

Worth the package price, GREAT ukulele with padded case, but who uses that?
What a GREAT LITTLE UKELELE! I had never played before and, within 10 minutes, had it open and tuned. I'm not sure if the package is worth it though. I gave it 5 stars because it's a pretty great little ukulele for the price, the case is high quality, and the stand might be nice as a tabletop stand.THE CASE:The case is a soft case with great padding, two zippered compartments on the front that would be helpful for carrying a strap, some picks, an extra set of strings and a couple of folded sheets of music. There are two straps on the back of the case to carry it like a backpack and a durable reinforced handle on the side for carrying it like a briefcase. This was a great throw-in but if I had looked at my collection of various instruments and their bags (somewhere else in the universe), I would've remembered that I don't ever use the cases anyway.THE UKULELE:The color is very vibrant and looks just like the picture. I think the photo of this ukulele are a little deceiving, though. It is much smaller than it looks in the picture. I knew this when I purchased it but I think if you ordered it without having seen a real ukulele before, it would be surprisingly little. I was happy when I saw that it came ready to play (besides tuning, of course). It is really difficult to keep in tune, I had to keep tuning every couple of songs, but I've heard that's also a characteristic of synthetic strings. Plus, more tuning practice is always good!THE TUNER:The tuner is okay, not the best but works alright. I left it on by accident when I was playing, though, and after that it seemed to not pick up the notes I was playing for tuning. I turned it off and used a phone app instead and haven't checked to see if it's working yet. If it works again. it'll be great for traveling because if its size and low profile.THE STAND:I haven't even taken the stand out of the box because I haven't needed it (I have guitar hooks on the wall) and because I have two large dogs who would plow it over in no time at all. With as light weight as this is, I can't imagine the uke would stay on a small stand for very long at all if you have children, pets or are at all clumsy. I suppose it would be nice if you wanted to display the uke on a shelf or table, though.CHORD SHEET:Looks like a book in the photo but is, indeed, a single (small) sheet of paper with the chords printed on it just like it says in the description. The font is large, though, the paper is think and I found it is very helpful to have the chord chart available as I was watching videos on how to play.By watching videos I was able to play a real song after only a couple of hours: There are great video tutorials online.Worth the package price? Certainly. While the tuner and chord chart aren't worth a lot since you can use a smartphone app and print off your own chord chart, the stand will be handy for placing it out of reach of the dogs on top of the table and the case will be nice if I decide to take it anywhere. In my opinion, it's worth the price just for the uke, case and stand.

Much better than expected
My 10 year old son is in a ukulele club. All he wanted for Christmas was a uke! As I knew nothing about them, I had no idea what to get for him. He wanted a Luna Tribal mahogany soprano which I got here on Amazon. It is wonderful! No complaints. Well then I realized he would want a bag for it, a tuner and possibly a stand. Researching this all I decided to purchase this Sawtooth kit. If you are wondering, why I would want a 2nd uke...well here it is! I wrapped it up under the tree (just the uke it self) as "To: Mom, From: Santa" with a note saying this was for my son to TEACH ME how to play! LOL! The accessories were wrapped up seperately as gifts for him. Here's my review on them: The bag is very high quality. I would have spent a minimum of $35 just on the bag alone if I ordered it seperately. The stand and tuner are decent too. I would have spend much more than $40 just for those accessories.......and getting this kit I also ended up with another uke as a bonus! I was very skeptical of it. To my surprise it actually has nice tone to it and is very well made. Comparing it to the Luna, the only negative thing I can say is that it does go out of tune quickly. I think it may be because the strings are obviously lesser quality in comparison to the Luna so I will be replacing them soon. This was a win-win purchase for me. I got all the accessories I needed plus a bonus uke! It's very interesting to suddenly make the new student and turn him into the teacher! He loves it! The only thing I can say is that the color is much different than what is pictured. It's much prettier and a nice mint green color.

Excellent purchase. This is a beginner soprano ukulele
Excellent purchase. This is a beginner soprano ukulele. It is NOT a guitar. It's perfect for an adult OR a child. The ukulele is well built. My only complaint is about the strings. They are stretching a lot. They don't sound as good as the strings that came on another ukulele brand, I also purchased on Amazon, that came with Premium AQUILA NYLGUT strings. These sound great and I would recommend replacing the strings on this ukulele with "Premium AQUILA NYLGUT Strings". This is pretty common with guitar purchases too. No one ever usually keeps the stock strings. The bag fits the ukulele nicely and is also excellent quality. The pockets are good and zippers are good quality too. There are two pockets, one for the folding stand and the other suitable for accessories suck as pics, cloths, tuner, etc.The folding stand , while small, is excellent. There is padding on the bottom supports and a very small bit on the part that touches the back of the kuklele. I do wish there was a bit more padding in this spot. That's easily fixed though. It folds up and fits in the bag's outer pocket. The tuner works really well. Make sure it's in ukulele mode (indicated by the letter "U") otherwise tuning may be difficult. It's also capable of guita, bass, and violin tuning. The nice thing about this tuner is that when you have the string tuned in perfect, the display changes color to green. This is a nice touch for kids. The booklet is a bit useless. It's a single glossy page folded. It does contain "how to tune", "how to play", a chord chart and four songs. This is, however, not a teaching guide. I'd recommend http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0739070827?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 It comes with a good book, an audio CD, and a DVD that follows the book pretty much.
